Default My Chemical Romance anyone??

I've recently been getting into them after first hearing I'm Not Okay (I Promise). what are your opinions on them? they are kind of a punk/emo sound.

I've listened to that same song. Well, I really must say I hate them. The guitar "solo" was okay, but the song was just boring and uninspired. I wont judge the band on one song, but that song just really turned me off.

I can slightly tolerate At the Drive-In, but emo is a genre I despise, sorry.

Amen... I prefer the whole Death Metal / Black Metal scene.

Well, although DM may be my favorite kind of music at the moment, it has nothing to do with the fact that I don't like this band. I don't hate punk, in fact I love Bad Religion, The Ramones, and a few other bands down to the core. I just don't like all this angsty-teenager-threatening-to-slit-his-wrists-because-he-can't-get-laid type pop-punk, nor pop-punk in general('cept for a certain Japanese band).

The lyrics were very bad IMO, same goes for the singing. I'll stop my emo bashing here, don't want to offend any fans.

I love MCR....I'v liked them for a good 3 years now and am still impressed as time goes on. I swear I'm probably like the biggest fan of emo/pop-punk on the forums...lol. Anyways, I've seen MCR 3 times now and their live performances are even better than their studio recorded stuff.

I love their Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge CD. One of the first albums I bought when I went on my massive CD purchasing binge.

tis a very good cd. If you really into them I woulda also recommend other bands such as The Used, Letter Kills, Senses Fail, From First To Last and A Static Lullaby.
Start out with those and I can give ya more sometime later

They're a really good live band, I saw them back in May. Love the latest CD too. 'Cemetery Drive' is probably my favourite track on it...

I don't really like them nor their lead singer(he acts kinda stupid on stage and in their MVs). I'll stick with my other bands. Excellent.

Yes. They are a good band. Like all emo it, depresses me, but if I didn't like it I wouldn't listen to it.

Lol, I just found out that MCR are from the town I live in, Belleville. My bro's co-worker knows the singer, and he went to my same school. Funny, I told someone(as much of an emo hater as me) that it must makea him proud of his town.

Oh yeah, All Senses Fail... I think I heard a song or two, and someone I know went to see them live last Friday.

I really don't care much for these bands, if you can't tell.
