Heh, had a Falconer album in my folders not too long ago. I heard one song, didn't like it, and deleted it(needed some space). But I guess I'll download their albums if I read some good reviews.

Decapitated - Nine Steps

to death. I really like the philosophic lyrics in some of the songs. It's hard to tell what the fuck Sauron is saying in some, which is both cool(he growls fast and well) and bad(you miss out on the lyrics if you don't know/have them). The lyrics in some songs are simple narratives, for example: one of them (I think it's this one) is about holy inquisitions. Most of their other songs are like theories of creation, some subtle suggestions towards atheism, and some weird ass philosophies that are cool to ponder about.

Take this quote from "Babylon's Pride" for example:

Senses, flower of existence- bow to Babylon
Pain, father of creation- bow to Babylon
Look- you're the creator of your own creator
Your beginning overthrows your myth
Parody of perfection feeding on mere mortal
Perfect being can only exist in itself
Let him die at last.

Not the most elaborate grammar, but I'm sure they just cut back on words so that the singing fits in better with the instrumentals, since all of the members speak English quite well in interviews and such. Where are they from? You forgot Poland.

Dillinger Escape Plan - The Perfect Design

Luv it. I'm running out of new bands now that Johnny Wonderpants is gone, so I'm going over previous fads. Yay previous fads!

Heh, that song is great.

Morbid Angel - Enshrined by Grace

First Morbid song I heard... Pretty cool, and most likely the best one on the new album. Some people call it a bunch of filler blastbeats, but it sounds very cool to me. It's still good old Morbid Angel. Too bad that they sold so few records that their record label booted them in the ass...

Nightwish. Again, thanks to EP, I find another awesome band.

Erase The Grey - The Melting Side
Good band. I really like them. Four of the five members do vocals, so some of it can get quite layered and gnarly.

"This lost emotion has me feeling so shattered and torn. Numbness of my deadened senses from your bitter me... the smell of this emptiness. You were never mine to hold. I never wanted more... you broke me! I needed you... I never wanted more... you broke me from the melting side..."

Avulsed - Gorespattered Suicide

I still haven't been able to find the album with the same title, but I happened to find some mofo that had this song, so someone must have the album by now. This is the first track. It's totally fucking cool. For some reason it doesn't like Avulsed anymore, must be the new drummer. Still sounds great, I just miss the old Avulsed, their previous material sounded very different from all other death metal. This new one sounds a bit like a mix of other DM bands out there, which is fine, but I want some more good old Avulsed.

It may be just this song, since I recall listening to another one from their site("Burnt But Not Carbonized") and it sounded like something from their previous album. I haven't given up hope on this band... I mean, it's the only DM band from my country that I know. Well, this one and Christ Denied(which has the same vocalist), and some underground band with only demos called Fermento... but I guess they really don't count.

I think there's a good grindcore band from Spain called Haemorrage... haven't listened to them yet.

Angra - Temple of Hate

Kai Hansen meets Angra. A fucking impressive combination. His guitar work is mind-blowing fast, I thought the band would have trouble keeping up, but they're skills are equally impressive. He also performs the vocals on this track, which further boosts the awesomeness factor. My second favourite track on the latest release. Right behind Wings of Destination of course, which has Hansi Krsch on vocals.

Fatboy Slim - Push the Tempo

Fooking hell, after Slash Dot Dash or whatever it was called he could have released any onld shit and it would still have been 20 times better, but this represents a good return to form for Norman. Well done that man.

Fuck yeah, that's my favorite track of their new album. The newest album is one of the best releases this year... (I don't like older Angra)

Einherjer - Forever Empire

Viking Metal-band from my hometown. Hell fucking yeah. Too bad they splitted last year (but former member formed Battered (thrash) a while ago, just released a demo).

R.I.P. Dimebag.

Pantera - Hollow

I'm almost crying as I listen to this. Dimebag always put so much emotion into his playing, and this song showcases his talents perfectly. His work has been a huge influence on my guitar playing and I hope that wherever he is now, he's at peace. He was one of a kind and will never be replaced. Rest in peace dude.

Cynthia Harrell - Snake Eater

I'm on a MGS3 appreciation week. My desktop is filled with Snake Eater goodness, and I often find my self repeating this track to relive the moment. Much respect for Hideo Kojima.
