I just recently upgraded my server to this beast...lol
I got the processor and the orginal mainboard for free, cause the processor "apparently" didn't work, and the mainboard had a capacitor missing. I fixed it all, and it worked. It was struck bt lightning.
Celeron 1.7, which apparently is running with HT Technology...Kinda fuxed...
Edit: Now a Pentium 4 2.80 GHz w/ HT
256 MB of RAM, soon to be 768, then possibly 2 GB
420 Watt Thermaltake Dual Fan
GeForce 4 MX 440 64 MB. Out of my Pentium 3, which is now out of commission.
DFI Mainboard with VIA Chipsets of sorts. Intergrated Sound, LAN, and VGA.
8 GB Hard Disk, Random shit
3 GB Hard Disk, OS (Windows 2K Adv. Server)
4 GB Hard Disk, Music
Not bad for a 160 dollar computer...

Some of you guys have way too much money to spend on computers
Athlon 2000+
768MB PC2100 RAM
Radeon 9600
80GB Maxtor; 200GB Maxtor
I ordered that stuff about 2-3 years ago, but I picked up that video card from a friend for $50 recently and got the 200GB hdd a week ago.
Should have the following configuration after Christmas:
Intel Pentium 4 2.53GHz @ 2.91GHz
ASUS P4G8x Deluxe (Intel E7205 chipset) motherboard
1024MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM
1x Western Digital Caviar SE 120GB (WD1200JB) HDD
2x Western Digital Caviar SE 120GB (WD1200JD) HDDs in RAID-0
ASUS V9280S2 (nVidia GeForce4 Ti 4800 SE) 128MB graphics card
16x Pioneer DVD-120 DVD-ROM drive
52x24x52x Lite-On CD-RW drive
Sound Blaster Live! DE 5.1 sound card
But, I've already gotten my HDDs, so I'm waiting for the extra 512MB of RAM.
Case + PSU - Powmax Matrix Blue (Cheap but it gets the job done) / 450Watt Powmax PSU.
DVD/CDROM - Samsung 16X BLACK DVDRW | TS-H552B
Hard Drive - WD 80GB HDD (from my old celeron 1.1 build)
Memory - Crucial 256MB PC3200 DDR400 (Will purchase an extra 256 stick after Christmas)
Motherboard - ABIT IS7-V2 (Just ordered from Newegg to replace a defective purchase motherboard)
Processor - Intel Celron D 2.40G Prescott Core CPU.
Video Card - Aopen Geforce 5500 | 128MB | 4x/8x AGP.
Total Purchase Cost: Under 400$ With Shipping, Including the defective mobo, Excluding the HDD.
I completed the internetz
Case + PSU - Some no name shit made in Poland, offense fully intented :p (cheap, horrible air circulation but it doesn't talk back when I kick it :p) / 350Watt PSU (his predecessor suicided, obviously couldn't bear being surrounded by low quality hardware ;p) .
DVD/CDROM - Uh, LG DVD/DVDR/DVDram writer, specs I forgot - or don't care, had some more DVD/CDRW drives but they had to go for they were planning a revolution :p, locked them in a dark cupboard for being unloyal bitches :p
Hard Drive - 720 GB total, 4 HDD's :p
Memory - Uh, to equal the shitness of all other hardware, I go with 320 SD-Ram, haha =(
Motherboard - Some Elitegroup cheap momma, but it's quite popular among OC'er, so that makes me a little proud of it
Processor - AMD Athlon XP 1800+ running at @1100 Mhz (Pfft, OCing is soooo out, so I took the other other way around =p)
Video Card - Nvidia GeForce 2 Ti, 64 DDR was it ? I don't remember.. -__- Not great, but it's enough to play ... uh .. mine sweeper without any noticable lag. :p
Total Purchase Cost: 1 Million Dollar. :p Owned.
Well some of you may remember my planned upgrade from this summer. It's pretty much complete now, so here's the full specifications.
Case - I'm using the one that my old computer was in. It's a Scott case.
PSU - Q-Tec 450W PSU.
DVD - Some 40x LG drive, from the old computer.
DVD RW - It's an NEC branded drive. Burns DVD+R's at 8x.
Hard Drive - 120gb, can't remember what brand.
Internet connection - 512kbps ADSL. It's probably slightly higher in reality, as it's connected at 576kbps right now.
Memory - 512mb PC3200 DDR RAM. Only thing I still want to upgrade, so I will be adding another 512mb stick soon.
Motherboard - Abit KV8-Pro.
Processor - Athlon 64 3000+.
Video card - GeForce 6600GT AGP with 128mb of DDR3 RAM. Arrived earlier this week and it's taken everything I can throw at it, including many high-spec games at maximum detail settings.
Total cost - Around 500.
