Excrementory Grindfuckers - Grindcore Joe (Rednex) and The Final Grinddown (Europe), Japanische Kampfhrspiele - Take On Me (A-ha) and Exhumed - Breaking The Law (Judas Priest)

Grindcore usually sucks, but when it comes to cover-songs, they fucking pwn! (Or maybe not... ) The Exhumed-cover is actually pretty good though.

edit: The Black Mages - The Man With The Machine Gun (FFVIII) and The Skies Above (FFX)

Samples from the upcoming album, can't wait! (The vocals on The Skies Above is fucking retarded though)

Wintersun are similar to Ensiferum. That's because Jari Menp used to be in Ensiferum

David Guetta Vs David Bowie - Just For One Day

Fucking great trance/house version of Bowie - Heroes. Anyone who disagrees is a mong of the highest order, and will be treated as such. So there.

    Suidakra - The Arcanum Spell

The solo that kicks in 3:50 is totally awesome. The solo just makes this song perfect

    Up next:
    Helloween - Mr Torture
Now this song makes torture sound like tally-ho fun. Which exactly is why I like Helloween. Nothing is ever too serious for them.
Well if you want viking metal, you can't go wrong with Bathory's later albums(ie: Hammerheart), he pretty much invented the genre, and created the sound of what black metal bands sound like nowadays(Venom was the first, but Bathory is more similar to today's BM bands).

Another great viking metal band is Moonsorrow, which features the keyboardist from Finntroll. Much more folky than other viking metal. Oh yes, you can't go without Vintersorg, Windir, and Forefather.

    Bathory - Valhalla

9-minute epic song. Quorthon's talent was not only in his lyrics and instrumental work, but just how he takes you into the theme of the song. This one makes me feel as if I were in a cold village after it had been sacked by vikings... very cool.

Unfortunately his singing ability is very limited, but it sounds much better than many black metal vocalists... The "Ooooooh" chanting rules!

    Akon - Ghetto.
This song is so real. The beat is sick too. It's not often that a person is singing about what is usally rapped about. It just needs a rapper on it to make full use of the beat.

Darkthrone - En Vind av Sorg

It's been getting dark over here very early, not to mention that the weather is totally fucked up, with tempature dropping below freezing temp. What a better way to add to this melancholy with some good old Norwegian black metal! I can understand why Norway has the highest suicide rate in the world, it must be so sad and bitter up there, and black metal doesn't exactly cheer people up.

Diabolical - God of the Underworld

Swedish death/trash. I don't know why, but this song reminds me of At The Gates...

Check out Dimension Zero(Swedish death/thrash), features Jesper Stromblad(In Flames' guitarist) on bass, plus a few other ex-members of Gothenburg bands. Not the best lyrics in the world, but they write a lot of great fast songs with cool riffs.

    Iniquity - The Bullet's Breath.

A song to wake me up. Damn I love this one, the growling sounds so cool and fast, even though it's incomprehensible.

I'll stop by the EP hub and snag em off you. For some reason, people always run away when I download from them.

    Finntroll - Fdosagan
I like the breaks when the guitars take a rest and the polka kicks in in this song. The tune is very dark and gloomy which is what I like about it. Darn I should get more Finntroll.

I have Silent Night Fever, it's pretty good.
I guess I should try to get more of their stuff

In Flames - Artifacts of the Black Rain

I just saw the "Touch of Red" music video on TV...

Heh, sure thing Megalith. I haven't been on recently, I'm trying to finish a torrent. I'll get on now anyways, but you won't be getting the best speeds I can provide.

The "Touch of Red" video brought a tear to my eye. Did you see how they were so obviously advertising for iPod, some brand of shoes, some beverage(don't remember which), and (worst of all) their own band(chicks with In Flames tank-tops)? I mean, dudes, have some fucking dignity. Funny how Bjorn looked like he was riding his motorcycle, but you could see high tension cables and a building that weren't even moving...
Damn, well, better than flashy *bling-bling* videos.

Best low-budget metal video of the year: Deicide's "Scars of the Crucifix" or Finntroll's "Trollhammaren"(although they did use a bunch of costumes and fancy shit, it was still cheap as hell. )

    Vader - Decapitated Saints

Woo, I believe I am about to go on a Vader rampage, and tear through all of their albums. I spent the last few weeks obsessed with Deicide and Morbid Angel, now I think I'm going to spend some time with Vader and some other band, perhaps Dying Fetus.
It's a great well-known Polish death metal band. Brutal, yet it's relatively easy to understand.

    Yes, you forgot Poland.
