    Avulsed - I Feel Good...Eating Human Flesh!

Such a cool song, and it's not even the best on "Yearning for the Grotesque"! Goes to show you how great the album. The main verse is so spooky and cool, backed with some very nice guitar solos.

    Morbid Angel - Drum Check

A drum solo... holy shit! I knew Morbid's drummer was awesome, but you can really see his talent in these 2:46 minutes of pure insanity. So fucking fast and rythmical, I've never heard a kickdrum playing so fast.

It starts with one of the guitarists saying:
Okay Pete, now let me hear your kickdrum.
    *does the drum solo*
Okay Pete, Okay, now can I just hear your kickdrum please?

Iron Maiden - Hallowed Be Thy Name

Jammin with Maiden in the early morning. Actually, this is the song that made me a Maiden fanboy, and got me in the whole metal insanity.
Mad love to Iron Maiden. <3

    Eminem - Just Lose It

Infectious pop, I'm unable to resist. No one can rip Eminem like Eminem.

    Ensiferum - Abandoned

From their first album. This is a more traditional viking metal album, their "Iron" album had obvious power metal influences. Either way, they both kick ass in their own unique way.

Great epic chanting in this song, reminds me a lot of Bathory just slightly more melodic. Speaking of which, I need to listen to 5 more Bathory albums.

    Edit: Venom - Countess Bathory

Supposed to be the first black metal band ever. I almost thought this was a Nirvana song! But it's not grunge, it dates back to 81'. The angsty Motorhead-style singing shows that it's pretty early BM. Great stuff, not as demonic as the later black metal bands. People who hate the genre might like this.

    Strapping Young Lad - Detox

Can't wait for Alien to be released. SYL was awesome, and so is hopefully Alien too.

My Dying Bride - Black God

The way the vocalist is speaking in it is absolutely depressing ... This song is so darn beautiful

    Finntroll - Den Hornkrnte Konungen

Fuck yes! I need to get around to listening to some more folk and viking metal, it cant be heavy, death, and thrash all the time.

Howie, I think you're going to like the new Krisiun EP. It's pretty damned cool.

It's an EP? Shit, I use full-length's only in that list. I got another list for EPs and such. *replaces with Rotting Christ*

I'm currently listening to nothing, since I gotta go to bed now.

Immortal - Battles in the North

Ah Howie, why do you lay in slumber? The Christian tribes come for your heads, gather your warriors for a fierce battle in the North.

This is one of my favorite brutal Immortal songs... (meaning non-melodic songs).

Your praise was tempting enough to kick me out of my senses and try this band. They ain't all that bad. I wouldn't know how to judge viking metal since this is my first time listening to it, but I know what I like.

    Up next:
    Helloween - Mr Torture
Now this song makes torture sound like tally-ho fun. Which exactly is why I like Helloween. Nothing is ever too serious for them.
