Animetal - Chou Kemono Sentai Liveman

The opening riff is from "Breaking The Law" by Judas Priest. Animetal covers anime-themes, if I'm not mistaken.

Also, if anyone has a Animetal-album other than "Marathon V", PM me, now. edit: Found them. Found them all. YAY FOR ME! GAY FOR YOU! bitches

Sting - Englishmen in New York

Heh, while not as good as his stuff with the Police, this is still a nice, relaxing pop ditty. I especially love the jazz break out with clarinet in the middle, followed by one of the most awesome yet most random drum break downs ever.

Arcturus is a hellah good band, they're releasing a new album January 2005. The drummers name is the o-so-famous Hellhammer of Mayhem.

Animetal - Lupin The 3rd Theme

Cannibal Corpse - Hung and Bled

Woo, CC is not so bad after all. Funny how I've listened to so many DM bands but I've never payed much attention to CC, I mean everyone knows CC. Still, I can't see why Corpsegrinder's vocals are so great...

My favorite DM vocalists: Sauron(Decapitated), Muhammed Suicmez(Necrophagist), Dave Rotten(Avulsed), Mikael Stanne(DT/In Flames), Nergal(Behemoth), Jim Malone(Arsis), that guy from Entombed, that guy from Dismember, Glen Benton(Deicide), and Trey(Morbid Angel). What are your fav's?

Correct me if I'm wrong, Hellhammer was the last drummer in Immortal before they split up right? He fucking owns, his rolls and blastbeats are nice.

    Rammstein - Mein Herz Brennt

I was sitting there in class, and this song started going through my head... so I simply had to listen to it. Not as good as some of their other songs, but still great.
"I start to think there really is no cure for depression, that happiness is an ongoing battle, and I wonder if it isn't one I'll have to fight for as long as I live. I wonder if it's worth it."

Soeru: Horgh was Immortal's last (and best) drummer. And Corpsegrinder (or Fishgrinder which I wrote by a mistake at the MS-forum once... his last name is Fisher ) owns Barnes in the ass, though Barnes isn't bad.

Favourite growlers? Azagtoth (mispelled, but whatever), kerfeldt, Benton and "Fishgrinder".

    Amorphis - Black Winter Day

    Classic.

Dream Theater - Pull Me Under

My favourite DT song. Clean, heavy, yet remains soft. It's the only lengthy song that grips me all the way. The drumming is exceptionally good on this track. James LaBrie never sounded better, though his voice seems to have a slight distortion applied. Either way, it still rocks. =]

Black Winter Day, damn that song kicks ass! I forgot to mention that I really like Amorphis' old vocalist, and Pandemonium's lead vocalist which sounds very similar. In fact, my throat growl sounds identical to Pandemonium's vox, while I can make my gutteral growls sound like Morbid Angel and Deicide's vox. I can do some high pitched growls a la Arsis too, but I cant do that screeching black metal shit... Singing like Abbath(Immortal) is relatively easy though, just catch a cold and speak softly making your voice break a little.

I don't know what you see in "Fishgrinder", he's basically screaming with his throat stretched back. I don't like it... it doesn't sound as 'gory' as the lyrics are... which is why Avulsed>Cannibal Corpse, sorry. His fast singing is a plus though, the song "Severed Head Stoning" really shows how fast the mofo can pronounce...

Judas Priest - Breaking the Law

Hell yes. Makes me want to walk up to a cop and say "Fuck the Police!".

Edit: Howie, what do you think of "Character" so far? I think it owns ass.

Check my sig. I was afraid it was just as bad as "Soundtrack to your Escape", but luckily it was not. I was actually quite surprised over it. The first track is brilliant.

    Edguy - Vain Glory Opera

Best Edguy-song, without a doubt. Just listened through their Greatest Hits (Hall Of Flames), and I'm pretty impressed over the songs they selected. I loved every single song. Hansi Kursch of Blind Guardian does some vocals on this track too.

    Avulsed > Cannibal Corpse
That is actually quite true. Cannibal Corpse is overrated (still not bad of course), but Avulsed owns their wieners. Can't wait for their new album to be released.

Same song, just watched that Growl Karaoke thing. Heh, I'm checking this band out. Nice and fast growls... plus great riffs.
