Just heard it. Not bad, but it's not really metal. Hard rock at most. Don't get me wrong, it's good, I'm just not into rock anymore... I do respect the roots though. The guy has a prominent British accent, are they from the UK?

Dark Tranquillity - The New Build

Woo! I got my hands on DT's new album about 2 or months before its release. This is the first track on the album, sounds great. I almost thought it was BM-ish cuz of the blastbeat at the beggining. Mikael sounds great, bit by bit he's starting to sound more like he used to back in 1994(In Flames), higher pitched and more raspy. Great melody in this song, sad like most DT songs, with great riffage and nice drumming. Nice piano in the background, but its not too loud, so I'm happy they still don't overuse keyboards.

Glad to see DT is still the good old DT. Why can't all modern metal be like this?

    Edit:

Dark Tranquillity - Out of Nothing

Yes! Damn, they sure haven't let me down yet. Their songs are still full of beutiful progression and complexity. The lyrics are as metaphoric as always, but relatively easy to see through if you sit down and read them/listen to them a few times. Not exactly Opeth, but it's along those lines(for those of you who like Opeth). Who said Gothenburg metal was dead? It's still fucking kicking.

Nope, they're all from the US. They did music for the PS2 game Primal, thats where I first heard them(and the song I sent you).

    Suidakra - A Vision's Demise

Shows that they are some good bands from Germany.

    Katatonia - Burn the Remembrance

Pure fucking doom metal, no goth influence or anything. Fits the weather right now too, it's gloomy, windy, and raining like hell. "Viva Emptiness" is an album that non-metal fans will want to devour.

Anastacia - Left Outside Alone (Jason Nevins Remix)

Actually, and surprisingly, fairly awesome. I hate the girl musically - I think she sounds like Kermit the frog on crack - but this works really well as a rock/house crossover. Excellent, and seriously recommended.

I wish she would be my mother, I would have absolutely no problems getting up on time in the morning, having her shouting in the background. Oh, and she's got yummy boobs.

    Blind Guardian - Nightfall

One of my favorite songs by this oh so brillianto band. Wish I could join them and learn how the fuck they come with crazy shit like "Never trust the north wind" (I mean, what the hell, what's so wrong with the north wind, no need for discrimination! ). Come to think of it, I really sold my copy of the Nightfall in Middle Earth album for like one pitiful buck several years ago, along with some really rare Sepultura shit for the same price. BURNED! (hehee, burned myself = Spontaneous human combustion ? Wow, I've to memorize this one ). Anyway, does anyone know if there's a live version of this song (or of Battlefield) ? And I don't mean the wanna be orchestral version.

    The Police - Invisible Sun

This song probably has the best sounding intro ever. Great orchestrations making a great effect.
Increase the size of your wang - PM crusher the words "poo poo" for extra length now!

    Throne Of Chaos - Divanity

If a band sounds like CoB, Skyfire, Norther, Kalmah that means they are good to me

Heh, quite a bad deal. *points to the vast world of filesharing*
BG have 2 really great live albums("Tokyo Tales" and the newer "Live"), but neither have the song "Battlefield", sorry. Bunch of other great songs on the live CDs too, so go grab it. "Another Holy War" and "Battlefield" instantly turned me into a BG nut...

    Decapitated - Winds of Creation(album)

Damn, Decapitated kick ass. Their 2nd album(this one) is supposed to be their best, but it's way over my head. Way too technical, perhaps even surpassing fucking Necrophagist... It's still great though, but just too inconsistent and wacky for me. I enjoyed their first ("The First Damned"), "Nihility"(my favorite), and "The Negation"(the newest) much more than WoC, strange since all the reviews pick WoC as the best album...

TOC's cover of Deep Purple's "Smoke On The Water" is pretty good, check it out.

Sodom - Ace of Spades (Live in Bangkok)

Awesome sounding Motrhead-cover. This is one of the few good Ace Of Spade-covers there is (Pure X's "Gurgla Pung" and Bathory's cover ain't bad though).

edit: Bloodcum - Death By A Clothes Hanger

    Pwnage.

Teh Spanish death metal band Avulsed have a cover of "Ace of Spades" in their newest album: Gorespattered Suicide. I can't find it anywhere yet though.

I'm listening to internet radio at the moment, a Classical music station. This stuff kicks ass. For all those of you with Winamp, open up the media library and check out the assloads of internet TV and radio stations you can listen to... Nifty, eh? I'm listening to:

I've been searching for that album for a while too, but I can't find it anywhere. I even tried MoGLO, couldn't find a shit. Maybe it's delayed?

King Diamond - No Presents for Christmas

    The ultimate christmas-song.

    The Cardigans - Iron Man

What a.... shame. A mockery, if you will. Waste of bandwidth, this one. But that's just my opinion. Skinner reccomended it, saying it was better than Black Sabbath's.
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
I like watchin the puddles gather rain
And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
and speak my point of view
    But its not sane..
I just want some one to say to me
Ill always be there when you wake
Ya know Id like to keep my cheeks dry today
So stay with me and Ill have it made
And I dont understand why I sleep all day
And I start to complain that theres no rain
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away but its a great escape..
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain...

    Rapture - Gallows

Reminds me of Katatonia's earlier albums
