Default Your own personal satellite view of the Earth...

    http://keyhole.com/

I can not possibly describe how amazed I am with this piece of shareware... At first I thought it was another 3D Earth/universe model like Celestia, but it's far from that. It's a highly detailed model of the Earth, in which you can zoom into any city and see objects as small as cars, streets, and buildings. You also get a lot of nifty 3D terrain(mountains and such). It's a free seven day trial, so go check it out.

Btw, this requires something a little faster than dial-up to work correctly, since it downloads high resolution bitmaps from a server as you zoom in.

Edit: I attached a screenshot of where I am, just to portray Keyhole's l33tness...

Doesn't seem to be all that great for non-Americans...

As Skinner said, it wasn't exactly good for-Americans. However I could find the location of my town as we have a pretty famous raceway here. It's also used as an air port from time to time so I just did a search on that.

Not too good for the UK, unless you live near London. Which I don't.

Haven't downloaded it yet, but from the website, it looks a lot like World Wind, which is freeware from NASA.

Change their format. BMPs are big, you know. Make them JPGs or PNGs.

Nice software. No super precise mapping for my area, but anyway. My home should be somewhere where i pointed, just aside the golf.

I just downloaded it. Looks like what I expected. I've put a dot about where my room is. It's the one labelled 'Here', in case it wasn't obvious enough...

I'd be cool if the thing had a higher-resolution view of me. Shit, we have many lakes in Sweden.

I have World Wind laying around, but I uninstalled it since it was such a HD space muncher... I never knew you could see places in WW so detailed, guess I'll go grab it again once this thingy expires.

Edit: Added detailed instructions on how to get to my hometown(which I don't live in atm).
