Toadies - Possum Kingdom

Only song I know of by them. But it's good stuff. I am getting more currently, though. Wooh!
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
I like watchin the puddles gather rain
And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
and speak my point of view
But its not sane..
I just want some one to say to me
Ill always be there when you wake
Ya know Id like to keep my cheeks dry today
So stay with me and Ill have it made
And I dont understand why I sleep all day
And I start to complain that theres no rain
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away but its a great escape..
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain...

(some Swedish glam metal 80's band) - The Final Countdown

Yes, it's that song that Norther covered. I don't know the name of the band, but I saw them mentioned in a show called "The 40 Least Metal Moments" on VH1. Funny how ignorant the people interviewed on that song were. Everyone was claiming that Swedish music was this crappy(although this song kicked ass). I'd like to shove some good ol' Dissection, Opeth, Bathory, and In Flames up their popwhore asses, they called Swedish music gay! I'm glad Ronnie James Dio had nothing to say on this...

Europe is the name. Their "The Final Countdown"-album has a few classics, like Ninja, Carrie and of course The Final Countdown. Joey Tempest always hated Sweden, according to a show I saw on TV some time ago.

Lande/Allen - Sample of a song (don't know which)

Jrn Lande (Masterplan, Ark, Jorn) and Russel Allen (Symphony X) unites. Can't wait 'till the album's out.

DIOOO! Europe! Cheeeeeeeeeeese!

Final Countdown is catchy, though...

Come on man, Europe were a massively gay band!

Still, Final Countdown is an amusing little ditty, and as Domingo correctly pointed out, catchy as hell.

Anyway, Im currently listening to Solar Stone - Seven Cities, as its a beautiful trance song, and even better if you can unearth a certain chill-out version of it I have on one of my old stoner cd's I have hoarded somewhere. Splendid.

Mayhem - Carnage(or some other song)

Not sure which song this is, I'm watching a live video which I found on SN. I didn't finish downloading the file so it is rather corrupted, video is messed up, but I can hear the audio. Can't really say that I love Mayhem, but they do have a few good songs. If it weren't for the piece of shit inaudiable recording quality I might actually bother listening to Mayhem more often. Turning up the volume for Burzum's albums aggravates me enough.

Interesting to see what the band looks like... not really what I expected. So this is true Norsk black metal...

Nirvana - On A Plain
A very, very good song. I'm just sitting here at school right now. I'm so fucking bored. Of course, I'm in IT, which I'm failing, and posting on EP, so that probably isn't helping my mark right now. Maybe I'll end up teaching half the course again and they can give me extra marks.

For My Pain is good, "My Wound Is Deeper Than Yours" is a good song (heh, sounds like some fighting goth-kids).

Blood Stain Child - Mystic Your Heart

Japanese melodeath, hell yes.

Japanese... melo death? Woo, must sound good. Their first album got a 60% on M-A though. Well, they gave In Flames' "The Jester Race" and "Lunar Strain" a total score under 95, so I guess ratings don't matter.
Speaking of melo death.

Dissection - Into Infinite Obscurity

A beutiful 1 minute acoustic piece, already got the first few seconds memorized, not long before I learn the whole song.

Guitar Wolf - erm some song...

Japanese punk rock. See the fucking awesome movie Wild Zero to just comprehende how fucking awesome they are.

EDIT - Could a mod please close this thread and start a new one? I'm getting the same damn problem of it not coming up first time, not finding pages, not being able to post etc. as suffered in the other big threads (namely RBT).
