Yes, yes I doAnd so does Howie with Disintergration. I guess it depends if you want Goth-esque Cure or Pop-esque Cure. But I like both
Here's a quick low-down.
Boys Don't Cry/Three Imaginary Boys Needs keyboards, more punk driven.
Seventeen Seconds - Same really.
Faith - Yay! First showing of the goth Cure sound.
Pornography - Arguably their best work.
Japanese Whispers - One of my favorites. Mixes goth with pop effortlessly.
The Top - First proper pop-based pieces of work
Head on the Door - Like Japanese Whispers. Has Inbetween Days on, bonus points.
Staring at the Sea (Singles 79-85) - The best compilation to get. Only CD release with Charlotte Sometimes on, the most awesome song ever.
Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me - Proper pop stuff here. Just Like Heaven = beautiful.
Disintergration - Along with Pornography, arguably best work.
Wish - Nice pop-ditty album, in the vein of Kiss Me.
Wild Mood Swings - Eh, weakest effort to date. OK, but not a patch on other stuff.
Galore (Singles 87-97) - Good compilation too. Worth getting with Staring at the Sea.
Bloodflowers - Like Disintergration, but get this after you become a fan.
Greatest Hits - Mostly just their pop tunes, but still top notch. No Fasination Street though, lame. although. Cut Here is probably their best tune since the Friday I'm In Love.
The Cure - They're showing their age a bit, but still, a nice album.
So yeh. And remember they're 80's goth, not Marylin Manson goth
Anyways...
Pink Floyd - Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk
From The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, a psychodelic classic. I may have posted aboot this song not long ago, but hell, it's awesome. DOCTOR DOCTOR!
