Hover Cars now?

I heard in the papers and on news 24 a while back that there was hover crafts.
No I wonder when they will become common, and lwould they have to make a whole new driving lesson for it?
Anyway I think it be nuts to have them zipping about towns/citys.
But I don't think we will see them about untill most natural resources are used up.

ive been on the old hover ferrys to isle of white,which they dont use anynmore because they flip over all the time,and ive seen hover cars befor but there only good for going from land to water and back to land again,there just nnot practical for city use.although it would be cool,hoverrallying.

What are they fueled on if they come about when we have used up our resources?

Not sure if it would be solor power and battries at night, or if it would be used with magnets of some sort, I really don't know.

I herd of something 2, my friend saw a TV show that showed 1. It apperntly said something about possibly being released in 2005 for really expensive, and price halved at about 1010. But some how I dont see any being realeased by just next year, but I definently wouldnt be surpised if one was made or is already in production.

Wouldnt magnets require inverse magnets along the roads, and make it really easy to filp your hover car?

I've lost too many friends on the road...despise cars so I don't think I would fancy a 'hovering vehicle' too much especially one made by Martians...I've seen Signs *trembles at the thought of green aliens with absoloutely no technological knowhow making a vehicle*

Yeah I think that Cars are dangerous enough without making them fly around.
Lets make the world more unsafe by making it possible to be hit by a car in ur nice flat in a multi story building....

But in saying that, I still find that it's cool that there is such a thing out there, and who knows maybe they might turn around and surprise us and make it safer than road cars
