    Necrophagist - Foul Body Autopsy

I love this song! It's technical and stops abruptly occasionally, and the melodies sound like they mirror each other(perhaps this is what a counter-melody is?). This album was recorded by just Muhammed Suicmez... fucking genius. The lyrics are good, but Suicmez has a huge German accent making them incomprehensible. His awesome growling voice makes up for it. Check their site for a live video they just released(at their forums). I just love how he sais Foul Body... Au-top-syyyyyyyy

I hear that you need to drink a bunch of milk and/or honey to get a Dying Fetus/Necrophagist-esque growl... *drinks 2 liters*

Edit: 2000 posts, bitches! I never thought I'd post this much when I joined EP...

    Ensiferum - Ensiferum

One of the greatest albums, ever. Viking/Folk/Melodeath Metal, all in one CD... ah. Their second album, Iron, is good too, but not as good as this stuff.

    Hurt - Johnny Cash

Nine Inch nails classic covered with more conviction, sorrow and resonance than Rezner could ever, ever achieve. A classic recording.

Deicide - Satan Spawn, The Caco Daemon.

First track from Deicide's arguably best release: "Legion". Very atonal, just what turns a death metal fan on. This isn't your typical gore/death-related DM, so it doesn't sound like newer gore-oriented bands. The lyrics are obviously about Satanism and blasphemy... very happy subject.

For those of you who don't know, the word deicide means "the act of killing someone of divine nature(ie: Christ)", hence why the word bears resemblance to god in latin (Deu/Dei) and homicide(-cide).

    Drunkard - Drunk With Satan

... awesome. Just plain awesome. Thrash metal (with some death and black-metal influences) from Greece. Drunk Thrash is great ! (Think Tankard)

Must check out Drunkard and Destroyer 666...

    Decapitated - Three Dimensional Defect

The riffage... the drumming... the vocals... it's the only things I need for me to fall in love with any metal band.

    Soapmakers - Clutch

One of Clutch's best tracks from Elephant Riders LP. Great hooks and repitition. I love Neil Fallon's vocals. Really, people should try and get this track.
Arthur Fowler is the best mod by a country mile.

    Blind Guardian - The Hobbit

Great song, if there's such a thing as non-cheesy speed/power metal without harsh vocals, it's Blind Guardian. The vocal style doesn't sound overly 'epic', but just the way he sings makes the songs great, and the choruses in BG's songs always sound awesome.

Btw, this is a heavy version of the acoustic sing-along "The Bard Song". The lyrics are different, same as most of the song, but it still has the main melody in there.

    FZ: teh double-postage...

Skinner might just ban you for that. I love it, though.

All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
I like watchin the puddles gather rain
And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
and speak my point of view
    But its not sane..
I just want some one to say to me
Ill always be there when you wake
Ya know Id like to keep my cheeks dry today
So stay with me and Ill have it made
And I dont understand why I sleep all day
And I start to complain that theres no rain
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away but its a great escape..
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain...
