    Eminem - Mockingbird.
It's a nice, calm song dedicated to his daughter and niece. Listen to this song even if you aren't an Em fan. he's a very very skilled dude and very emotional when it comes down to it.

Pink Floyd - Goodbye Blue Sky

The animation sequence for this on The Wall movie really one of the greatest movie moments ever. Sounds kick arse in 5.1 on full blast too.

The name makes the style of music quite obvious, doesn't it?

Got their albums, but I hadn't heard of them up until a few months ago. Only listened to "Scream Bloody Gore", and it's quite good. But for good ol' death metal...

Deicide - Scars of the Crucifix

Easily my favorite Deicide song. I'm practicing it right now, it's not all that complex, just fast as hell. Well... not complex except for the solo... Eric Hoffman is one crazy mofo with his solos, which are nothing short of fingerboard wizardry. In fact, what makes Deicide stand out of all other atonal DM bands are Glen Benton's vocals and the guitar solos.

If you like death metal... then you must listen to Deicide and Morbid Angel. Florida DM owns you.

All of their albums kicks serious ass, especially Symbolic. Chuck Schuldiner was a great man. By the way, never even consider getting the Zero Tolerance-compilations of Death. The worst shit ever.

    Death - Painkiller

One of the greatest Judas Priest-covers ever. The intro is damned awesome. Angra and Saratoga made covers of this song too, but they suck. At least in my opinion.

Human is a good album as well

Norther - Everything Is An End

I think they are a way better band than CoB, since both are the bands are so similar

The Byrds - Turn! Turn! Turn!

Um, yeah, this isn't very hi-fi, but they got the harmonies pretty decently. One of my more favored oldies... sorta.

World of Warcraft... my friend convinced me... bt what started as a skeptic sense of wary enjoyment has turned into the biggest time-waster of all... well, uh, time. I'm getting better. But that's what all addicts say.

I really love both bands, but I have to pick CoB as my favorite. They've been around longer, and Alexi Laiho simply owns Norther's frontman(forgot the name) in guitarplay... or should I call it fretboard magic? They both sing extremely alike, so there's no argument there. I also listen to CoB more often than Norther, so that may be the cause... but I just can't resist getting a load of Alexi's solos and licks. Doing so just makes me feel so energetic when I pick up my guitar to practice.

Argh... my Death albums are on another HD... won't be listening to them for a while.

    Dissection - Into Infinite Obscurity

I'm getting a craving for metal-ish acoustic songs. This one is great, although a bit short(like most are). It's definately got that folky Gothenburg melody in it. Bitchin'. *looks up the tab for the song*

That's exactly how I feel, I dig them both, but CoB is a bit better. Check out Throne Of Chaos (older) if you like CoB and Norther, Frozen Sky.

    Einherjer - Far Far North

The best Einherjer-song without a doubt. If you've never heard viking metal, this is the song you should start out with.

The Beach Boys - Good Vibrations

Let's face it, who doesn't fucking love this song? Great melody, and some of the best vocal harmonies ever.

    Naked City - Torture Garden

Some guy at Rateyourmusic.com recommended this album to me, and I must say, it's probably one of the weirdest albums I have ever heard (in a good way, though).

    Slayer - Mandatory Suicide

Well... since I already have my guitar tuned to Eb to learn a Deicide song, I might as well use this opportunity to learn properly and practice this song(also in Eb). Definately my favorite Slayer song.

*writes down Einherjer and Throne of Chaos in his 'to download' list*
