Lindroos doesn't sing on that song?

    Vond - Selvmord

Another one of Mortiis 2313214141234234 sideprojects. This is one of the better ones... (Vond means "Hurting/Hurt" and Selvmord means "Suicide", to those who didn't know). And yes, finally someone who agrees! Enter Sandman is a boring song! Finally!

    The Ordinary Boys - Seaside

Reminds me of something, cant quite put me finger on it. Awesome accompanying melody type thing, recommended...and all that.

Arsis is the type of band that doesn't even need a single listen for someone to declare them as their favorite band. Ejaculation may occur upon reading the song title... reading the lyrics may also cause severe spasms due to l33tness.

I thought you had already grabbed their album some time ago... oh well, better late than never.

    In Flames - Vrmlandsvisan

A very nice acoustic instrumental played live. Only 1:47 min long, but it's really nice and calming after a whole afternoon of black and death metal. It sounds quite emotional... but still contains that metal-ish acoustic feel. According to a review by Howie, this is a Swedish folk song?

Relient K - uh... something like How Much You've Changed or something. I actually don't know. But that's why we have the internet! ...ah, here it is. It's called What Have You Been Doing Lately? Awesome. The lyrics are cool, and then the riffage-ish-ism near the end gets my... vote.

    Godgory - Sea of Dreams

Title track from their 2nd album. This is very very good, this one's an instrumental. All of the other songs in their album are death metal... perhaps melodic, but with very sad and deppressive style melodies. It's not thrashy, a bit slow so I'd almost consider them doom/death... so you *could* chill to this music, considering it's not too loud. They overuse similar acoustic guitar play in this album, but it sounds so beutiful and sad that it doesn't matter.

    Edit:

    Godgory - Surrounded by Dreams

The growled vocals are exceptional, and we get some sad clean vocals in there. This is a very soft but beutiful metal album, I urge all metalheads and non-metalheads(interested in some softer metal) to grab their "Sea of Dreams" album.

Blue Oyster Cult - Don't Fear (The Reaper)

Old school (way before my time, or time itself even!). I really do like this song, though I do not know if this was the original artist, and can;t be arsed to look. I do know HIM did it as well, but this version is vastly superior.
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
I like watchin the puddles gather rain
And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
and speak my point of view
    But its not sane..
I just want some one to say to me
Ill always be there when you wake
Ya know Id like to keep my cheeks dry today
So stay with me and Ill have it made
And I dont understand why I sleep all day
And I start to complain that theres no rain
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away but its a great escape..
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain...

    Vince DiCola - War

I have always been a fan of dramatic, movie soundtrack-esque music, but this stuff just takes the cake. Beats the crap out of Rocky himself. Go synthesizer! Well actually, most synthesized songs don't sound too awesome... at all. To me. But this one pulls it off.

Blue Oyster Cult was the original artist of that song... I believe it's the theme song for an 80's comedy movie about ghosts and exorcists featuring Michael J. Fox(Back to the Future). The heavy metal band Wolf have a very good cover of that if I'm not wrong.

Naglfar - Through the Midnight Spheres.

Very good black metal. In fact, Naglfar is my favorite BM band since they use tons of nice little melodies... I only love 2 or 3 Immortal albums completely... so they don't qualify yet. The vocalist... sounds IDENTICAL to Alexi Laiho(Children of Bodom), only sometimes he raises his pitch like hell(but it doesn't sound gay like Dani Filth...). They use Gothenburg-esqe(melo-death) type riffs occasionally... must be something Swedes can't resist to put in their music.

    Edit:

    Naglfar - Vittra

Awesome title-track from my favorite Naglfar album. These Swedes kick many other Norwegian BM bands' asses. I only know of 2 BM bands from my country(which probably accounts for most Spanish BM bands), so I guess I should shut the fuck up.

"Stand my Ground" - Within Temptation

Just heard this song, and it's not bad... I've just gotta get my hands on a few more songs before I decide whether or not they're worth buying...

    In Flames - Lunar Strain

Easily one of the best In Flames songs... both instrumentally and lyrically... oh yes, and Mikael Stanne's growl is so much better than Anders'.

Blind Guardian - Run For The Night

I rarely listen to BG nowadays, but Soerus sig made me listen to some good 'ol BG. I prefer their two first albums (though Nightfall In Middle Earth is awesome too).

The first two were good stuff. But I find nothing wrong with their later stuff... it's just more aimed at power metal than speed/heavy like they used to. Still... they throw in some fast riffs much like Dragonforce, only they aren't half as cheesy as Dragonforce.

DJ Doboy - Trancequility Volume 19(Autumn Chills)

Damn... this mofo really knows how to make music. 75 minutes of pure trance/techno goodness... and he has tons of albums... Great shit to chill to.

    Edit:

    Amorphis - Black Winter Day

Their early stuff(all I've heard) is very good. This is proggressive doom/death... sounds a lot like Pandemonium, only with less synth effects. Any Opeth fan will love Amorphis.
