    Arsis - Return

I can't help but listen to some Arsis every day... they don't even have that many songs. I just like them even more every day. Btw, this is the song in my sig.

All hail! All hail! The phrase of tainted prose!

    and now:

    Cradle of Filth - Nymphetamine

... title-track from the new album. Although Dani Filth's shrieks are fucking unbearable, beneath his pussy ass-raped vocals lay some very nice instrumentals. Very gothic, but still somewhat light and melodic... and quite easy to listen to in my opinion. By no means is this black metal... so I can't understand why "true" BM fans call CoF a BM sellout since it wasn't a BM band in the first place. You get to hear some deep screams in this song, quite nice for a death metal fan like myself(yet it doesn't detract from the peaceful melodic aspect of the song). There's even some female clean vocals in the song, and the video for it is eerily beutiful.

Reccomended, just cover your ears when the vocalist starts screeching. It's not even his own voice. What a pitch-shifting fag...

    Gloria Estefan - Party Time

Fear it. You know you'll be humming the choral tune for the rest of your days, so deal with it, and recognise.

I'm glad I haven't listened to that song. Wait... maybe I have...

    Moby - Running
This soft trance music reminds me of my hometown in Las Palmas, Spain... which I moved from 5 months ago. It gives me the feel of the subtropical yet highly urban beutiful city I lived in...

Yeah, Dani Filth's vocals do get annoying. I think the song would be much better if it just had the woman singing in it... kind of reminds me of a heavier version of Nightwish.

    Pink Floyd - Bike

Scary as fuck, all the way from the opening stereo vocals to the bicycle bells and clowns at the end. Not the kind of thing you'd want to listen to when stoned.

    Helloween - Halloween.

    Because it damn well is!

This is how all power metal should be. No cheese, thank you. It doesn't feel as oldschool as it is, this band is easily my favorite power metal band. *plunges head into a pumpkin*

    Finntroll - Vtteanda

Not the best song on Midnattens Widunder IMHO, but it's still a great song

    Valhalla - In the Navy

Spanish power metal... Who said power metal was gay? Damn... now this is what you call a cheesy Spanish accent. The vocalist is pretty good though... sounds a hell of a lot like Helloween's vox. Bad-ass.

Chronic Future - Time and Time Again.
I saw this video and how stylish it is, completely ignoring the song. THEN I went back to hear the song. It's all Computer made. Vector characters and 3D animated background. Same as Eminem's "Mosh" Video in which he's showing his ideas on Bush. Both were directed Ian Inaba, www.gnn.tv

    Manowar - Black Arrows

"Let each note I now play
be a black arrow of death
    sent straight to the hearts
of all those who play false metal!"

That song is one mad-as-fuck solo. Good thing that their solos cover their lack of riffs in some of their albums, which makes Manowar a great all-around metal band. Another song with bad-ass solos and not so many amazing riffs:

Manowar - Brothers of Metal (pt. 1)

Damn this is epic. A bit cheesy compared to their other songs, but this is definately not power metal... it's just too damned manly.

    We are brothers of metal!
We are fighting with power and steel
Fighting for metal, metal that's real!
Brothers of metal we'll always be there,
Standing together with hands in the air!

Almost brings a tear of joy to my eye. If you want some pure fucking heavy metal, listen to this song.

Edit: Oh yay: Manowar - Call to Arms
One of my favorite songs. Good all-around, bad-ass riffs + great solos... just what makes "Warriors of the World" such a great album.

The Cure - Just Like Heaven

One of The Cure's poppier songs. Admit it, you love it too. Really enjoyed AFI's cover of this song on MTV Icon last night.

Definatly up there as one of their best songs.

    The Cure - Cut Here

Along with Friday I'm In Love, probably their best tune since the 1980's.

Pearl Jam - Given to Fly

One of my favorite PJ songs... this one is just too damned good. This is what all grunge/alt rock should be like...
