Heh, 1979 is my favourite SP-song too. But I hate the name of the band... fucking shit.
Mercyful Fate - Angel of Light
One of the few bands I must pay more attention to. King Diamonds voice is so strange that it's crazy.![]()
Decapitated - Babylon's Pride
Listening to this by Soeru recommendation, this will probably grow on me![]()
I thought Smashing Pumkins was a cool name... not the name for a metal band, but cool IMO. Oh wait... *looks at Howie's avatar*Originally Posted by Howie

Frozen Sky, hope you get your hands on the 4 Decapitated albums. What do you think of the insanely fast riffs in that song?
Avulsed - Powdered Flesh
Mmmm...
Drying Up The Flesh

Extracting All Liquids

Just Adding Blood
The Freshest Blood!!
The Powdered Flesh

Freezing Is Not Enough
There Are So Many Victims
Meat Starts To Pile Up
Stench Of Putrefaction
Is Invading My Home
Kick-ass bass lines in their songs. Great lyrics, although you can tell that Dave Rotten(the vocalist) didn't speak English so well back when he wrote the earlier songs(both orally and written). His singing has improved a lot(he no longer has an accent, but it's still hard to understand him), but he hasn't lost his awesome deep and gory voice(which sounds even more like a zombie now). Avulsed is the type of band that gets better with every release, if you like death metal, you'll love their newest album: "Yearning for the Grotesque". The first track is BOUND to scare any non-DM listener shitless, which makes me very happy.
Edit: Just found out: Avulsed changed their drummer a few months ago, and a new album is schedueled for release next month called "Gorespattered Suicide". Yay![]()

Daft Punk - Digital Love
My favorite Daft Punk track, ace tune to dance, sing and just plain listen too. Nice non-real guitar solo too![]()
Increase the size of your wang - PM crusher the words "poo poo" for extra length now!

Anal Torture - Genetial Anal Grinder
... as if the band/song title wasn't a dead give-away, this is a grindcore band with toilet humor lyrics. Not that I can understand any of the lyrics, but this music is fun. Good thing that the songs are short though, otherwise the riffs would just get repetetive(ie: old Cannibal Corpse).
Fire, water, burn- Bloodhoundgang
shit doesn't get better.
Avulsed - Cadaver Decapitado
I've had this song stuck in my head for the past 2 days... strange, since death metal is not catchy at all. This is one of their few songs in Spanish. In case you're wondering, the title of the song means "Decapitated Corpse"... very happy music.
The lyrics don't match the sad/somewhat melodic riffs in the song... The solo/main theme/"melody" in the song just keeps playing on inside my head... guess I should cut it off.

Fear The Clown - Alone Again (might be a song you'd like Soeru, not as hardcore as some that other stuff you listen to but maybe you should give it a try.)

Ah yes, that's a hardcore band Jim told me about. Not really metal, but not complete gobshite IMO(no, metal is not all I listen to). Oh yes... please don't confuse hardcore with metal.Originally Posted by FoReVerZeRo
Cans - Beyond the Gates
Title track from the debut album released this year. A side-project band formed by none other than Joacim Cans himself, vocalist from the ever-cheesily-popular band Hammerfall. Instead of trying a power metal approach this time around, he decided to go for classic heavy metal. Any fans of Therion, Hammerfall, Dark Moor, Helloween, or any power metal fans craving for something less cheesy will love this. But beware, Joacim's voice still adds that extra layer of cheese, no matter what band he's in.![]()
Good stuff, HUGE influence from Dio on this one.
