OK, so I'm trying it out. So far the only thing that impressed me is the small download size. How do I get teatimer, the browser monitor of spybot, to watch firefox? It associates with IE by default.

I actually didn't like Firefox... but that's because I'm weird and like IE's basic shell. Firefox is just too... different, I suppose. I mean, it's not too different - it's very similar - it's just not something that I could ever get used to using.

What I'm using right now works fine for me.

Be happy with it. I was never a big fanboy of IE clone browsers until I found firefox. But even then, I wasn't really impressed, until I started using tabs and shortcuts.

And if IE is working fine, why change it? Firefox may not suit you.

I think the general argument is that firefox can be changed to suit you, if there isnt an extension that does it then either write or request one.

If its just the look that bugs you, I'd be surprised if there isnt an IE browser theme for firefox yet.

Im pretty sure there is, or if not, something that looks really similar to it. But i dont know if its the look that bothers them, it might be that theres to much going on for them with the browser.

Well, you don't HAVE to use most of the stuff on Firefox. In fact you could take off most of the toolbars, turn off popup and ad controls, and you'd be closer to getting a browser like IE...don't know why you'd want to, but you could

Firefox is secure, fast, highly customizable, and compatible. The days of IE and Netscape being the only browsers worth using are long over. Sadly, the vast majority of users are still using IE out of pure ignorance.

If IE's horrible security record isn't enough to get you to change browsers, I don't know how I could convince you.

You can always hold control while clicking a link. Maybe there is some hidden option in about:config page.

Yes, get tabbrowser preferences extension and set up window/tab handling exactly how you want it. (Ive been doing this since one of the 0.8*'s)
