Dream Theater - Fatal Tragedy
When I get my new double pedal, I'm playing & recording this for one of my Music AS performances. Kickass.

Nightwish - Stargazers
I've had this song stuck in my head all day. So very awesome...
"I start to think there really is no cure for depression, that happiness is an ongoing battle, and I wonder if it isn't one I'll have to fight for as long as I live. I wonder if it's worth it."
Immortal - ...Against the Tide
Giving "Damned in Black" a first listen, and I think I mixed up the track order. Cool song, more similar to songs from At the Heart of Winter. There's something about Abbath's vocals that I don't like... they just sound somewhat cool but effortless. Kind of what I talk like if I'm dead tired and have a sore throat.
What I like about this most of all is the somewhat good recording, at least I can hear the guitars in this one, unlike Pure Holocaust. Sue me, I ain't "true".
Edit:
Venom - Countless Bathory
Badass, although "Black Metal" is the only Venom album I have listened to.

Others - Not A Word
A new "release" on their Soundclick site. It's a live version, but still very good.
Queensryche - The Mission
I love them, they're all I listened to in Germany. If anyone of you good chaps could send me down the same line, with different bands, I'd be very much obliged.
I'll be playing along to a midi of the song (minus the drums) so the keyboard will still be there. Seeing Portnoy go through it on Liquid Drum Theater made it easier though. Also I erm...didn't like Converge - The Saddest Day much......
N*E*R*D* - Jump
While it sadly features the Madden twins from Good Charlotte, this is a solid song that I can't help but like.

I like that album.
Meshuggah owns in my opinion. Their Metal/jazz style seriously has me listening for hours. Their drummer especially awes me. I wish I could play like that.
As for my song, at this very second, I am listening to
30 seconds to Mars-Capricorn
I like the mix of electronic and real drums. Also, guitars are pretty cool too. Great Alternative rock group. Or hard rock...or whatever.
The thing I like about this band is they are fast-paced and to me have great musicianship all around. It pains me when a band has so much talent, except like one person. Not so with this one in my opinion.

Need something good....
Blur - Parklife
A British national anthem - hail to brit-pop bitches. If you're from the UK and don't like this song, you're probably a Nazi...

Classic song from Metallica, taken from the concert bootleg I'm downloading right now. This particular recording is incredibly powerful, especially the orgasm at the end. Brilliant stuff.![]()
Converge sounds like Queensryche? *pushes Converge up on his to-d/l list*Originally Posted by Slim

Damn... this is good.It really doesn't sound like an American band... but it is.
Good stuff... doom/folk/goth/whatever metal.
