I tend to not bother with mouse gesture things, but I decided to try out the FF extension 'easygestures' for a laugh anyway.
It is actally really nice, saves some effort and is pretty customisable to how you are comfortable.

Hmm, how sensitive are these mouse gestures? They seem kinda cool, but what all would one do with em? I heard forward and back, but that's all on my mouse...

I might just have to give em a try.

Now if I could only get Firefox going in FreeBSD...

Just take a look at their site: http://mozfbrh.mozdev.org/ , they show all of the commands you can do with it. Very cool and useful for lazy people.

Easygestures? Gonna check this out, sounds kickass.

Edit: Hmmm... I've been using it and it kicks ass. The only thing I hate is that it doesn't save my settings when I close FireFox. What can I do to fix this? Another thing that bothers me is that the pie appears momentarily when opening a new tab... It's a great plug-in but the lack of remembering settings is a major drawback.

Edit2: Fixed the problem. If you suffer from the same issue, you probably have the extension Image Zoom 0.1.7 installed. This makes the settings reset when you restart the browser. The solution: downgrade to Image Zoom 0.1.6. Problem fixed, FireFox still owns.

Edit3: One thing, has anyone found a new version of the Qute theme yet? The 1.0.1PR version doesn't work with the theme, since it's old. Is there a new version of the theme out there?

I used Firefox some time ago, but found that I just liked IE better, despite Firefox's pretty GUI, tabbed windows, and MouseGestures. The main reason, though it seems trivial, are the shortcuts. I like pressing F5 to Refresh, F6 to go to the URL line, and CTRL + ENTER to put the "http://www.____.com" around a word. Perhaps I can customize it, I don't know. I didn't give it that much time.

Is all this possible? I could see myself converting easily if I can.

Every single one of those is default behaviour:

    F5 = Refresh
F6 = Go to URL line
    Ctrl + Enter = http://www.whateveryoutyped.com

Seems you didn't actually test the browser

Sigh... if you were lazy enough not to check for the same commands in FF, then you were probably too lazy to even read my whole post.

Easygestures... isn't that great at all. Sure, it looked cool at first, but after some time using it on this slow comp it's not all that fast. I went back to using MouseGestures since it works much faster.

    Hahaha, Miyagi owned Traen today.
Yes, all IE shortcuts work in Firefox, and there is even more.

I'm sticking with IE, I don't know about FireFox, my internet service only likes IE.

Sticking with IE is what gets you all that Spy Ware and Ad Ware unlike Fire Fox which doesn't let that through at all.

Any browser other than IE wins. Firefox is good. So is regular Mozilla (Firefox is merely the browser). I'd advocated them forever. If you insisnt on sticking with IE, at least get the google toolbar or something. Opera is a good alternative, and there are others, I can't recall them at the moment. But for the vast majority of people, firefox is where it's at.

And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
and speak my point of view
    But its not sane..
I just want some one to say to me
Ill always be there when you wake
Ya know Id like to keep my cheeks dry today
So stay with me and Ill have it made
And I dont understand why I sleep all day
And I start to complain that theres no rain
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away but its a great escape..

How does it compare in terms of security? If it can give real protection from shitware I'll try it. Both ad-aware and spybot continue to disappoint.

I have had virtually no problems with spyware since switching. Occasianally a few (almost none) will slip through... but usually only minor tracking cookies.
