    Bloodbath - Outnumbering The Day

Pity that Mikael is not in Bloodbath anymore, well I like Peter Tgtgren's voice anyway

Yeah, Mikael was great, but we all just have to move on. I hope you've heard all of "Nightmares Made Flesh", it's a very good album.

    In Flames - Acoustic Piece(from 1993 demo)

Really neat acoustic instrumental. Stromblad is really talented at writing instrumentals, including acoustics. Short and sweet. I'm trying to find tabs for this song.

Ninja Magic - Return of a Ninja (Final Approach)

Hey, we got Pirate Metal (Running Wild), so why not have Ninja Metal? Goddamn, this song isn't bad. Quite catchy.

    Arsis - Maddening Disdain

So is this album their only effort so far? It really is awesome. I've gotta say they are very melo death though. It's probably the speed and drums that lump them in straight DM...

Yes, they are more melodic than your average death/black metal band(ie: Behemoth), but I like to think of it as death metal with a melody. That was the 1st song I ever heard, and it's probably my favorite, along with "Seven Whispers Fell Silent" and "Face of my Innocence". Don't you just love that thrashyness?
That is their only album, but there are 2 demos floating around featuring 4 or 5 unreleased songs and a few of the songs from the album, which sound interestingly different than the new recordings(the quality is superb too). If you want it, email/pm me so I can send it to you. I live about 2 hours from Virginia, hopefully they'll do another tour soon nearby.

The Sleepytime Gorilla Museum Of Natural History - 1997

    Pretty meh, I'd say.

    Gorillas - New genius (Brother)
I like this gimmick band. Deep HipHop influences in the particular track's beat. Alot of their stuff is HipHop influenced.

    Forest Stream - Black Swans

Beautiful, just beautiful. Reminds me of Woods of Ypres, except from that this bands "theme" is Autumn, not summer.

Ninja Magic - The Way of Life

Very cool instrumentals, but the singing is a total wankfest. This band reminds me greatly of Blind Guardian, especially the solo in this song. The lyrics are just as cheesy as any European power metal band, but they're quite interesting and original. Too bad the singing detracts assloads from the quality of the band, the guy should just wait until he's out of puberty to start singing. Still good though, thanks for the wacky reccomendation, Howie.

    Sting - Seven Days

Killer 5/4 signature with probably the ultimate subtle yet complex accent pattern on the hi-hat supplied by Vinnie Colaiuta.

    Behemoth - Zos Kia Cultus

Damn right they're cult! I love how the song begins with a military-ish drumming, and the riffs from the 2 guitars fit in oddly well with the drumming in the beggining. Kind of like death metal for marching on to war. This song is great, but not the best on the Zos Kia Cultus album.
