Sega. Wonderful, they are. Nice blue logo and everything. Shame about that Sonic fellow turning into a bit of a chump whilst Mario went from strength to moustachioed strength though. I can wistfully recall the days where the Megadrive/SNES arguement was at its height, when all that mattered it would seem was how many sprites you could get on screen at once, or how many layers of parallex would roll serenely behind Sonic on that title screen.

    Sigh.

These were the days of originality. Oh, but to hark back to the halcyon days when games were indeed true games designed for fun (and not shamelessly ripping off the latest Holywood blockbuster), days when games were won and lost on true skill (or lack of it) and days when mothers would piss their collective knickers when they saw a few red pixels floating bloodlike across the screen (a la Mortal Kombat...except, of course, if you were a SNES owner...as Nintendo were too pussy to apply the blood cheat to MK. Pussies).

    Nice site by the way.
Now even though the nintendo had more colours, I thought some of the mega drive games looked way better.

Btw Sorry Sprung if I offended you.

Well, the MegaDrive's sound was AWFUL...

And methinks there were more crap games for the MD than for the SNES... Although those that were good, were good...

Oh, whenever you'd hit a character in MK for the SNES, ASH would fly out, dammit! That was pure bwnage...

Also, the Genesis controller was a hideously malformed piece o' shit... And the D-Pad was even worse...

Sports games were awesome, though... But I never really cared for Madden games...

And SEGA's ads were teh 1337!

But that site is biased as hell...

Ah control pads, I've broken 2 mega drive joypads and 3 snes joypads out of rage, anyone here able to top that(probably). I haven't smashed a playstation joypad, maybe i'm older now or maybe games can't get that frustrating any more?

I've never busted a nes joypad, I found them to be quite study.

Snes Joypads were the most delicate i think

    Er... 8...

He seems to have grown a bitter old man, due to SEGA's economic failures... Poor guy...

I wonder what would've happened had he chosen Atari, or the 3DO...?

I'm just finishing up Chapter 2 on the Saturn...

Nintendo Officials should watch out for flying custard pies, or mega drives being thrown at them.

Eh, I say let him bring it on. I'd actually like to see what he has to say for himself, and how he justifies his bias. If anything, it would gain us a bit of incite into the mind of a fanboy.

Thats a brave attitude, nice knowing you, j/k, but seriously a fanboy will 9 times out of 10 not listen to reason, and spends a lot of time justifying a point, but if you know your sega you can tell whether he talking through his arse or not.

Well, I agree with you. Most fanboys are an irrational lot. Hell, one has but to surf GameFAQ's system specific forums to see this for themselves.

Still, it could be interesting to see what this guy might have to say in his defence. Even if it does turn out to be more fanboy crap...

No, it was brilliant I say! Brilliant! The Winnie the Pooh game where you had to guide him across the honey combs with a butterfly is great...

    As for fanboys...

I am a Nintendo fanboy whore. But make no mistake, the MegaDrive/Genesis is tits, I still keep my model 2 out to play. Sonic was a great series, I enjoyed it's 2D-ness imensely. But Nintendo was what I preffered back then.

I still prefer them next-gen wise as my bro has a PS2, so if I wanna play those games he'll get them. And the X-Box hasn't got enough games I want to play that aren't already on another console. So the Gamecube just seems like my natural choice. There's still the core group of games I know I will enjoy and are fairly cheap. Plus I'm not into online gaming in the slightest.

So ermm, the moral is...I appologise for fanboys who can't except that other companies are good too, and that their chosen alliance does make sucky decisions. Just look at the Nintendo Virtual Boy...

And the Pico was a beastly console I say, beastly!!!
