    General FAQ

Now beforehand there are a few things that should be obvious:

    1. A lot of Emulators reqiure Direct X and updated drivers to operate and will be the reason a lot of the time why it freezes/Doesn't start.

    2. You are able to play N64 roms in Pj64 In Zip format, but not rar, for anyone that's confused about that. From what I can see no other emulator supports roms in zip format.

    3. The region's go as follow's
    (E) Europe
    (U) Usa
    (J) Japan
    (JU) Japan/Usa
(?) Will come up with more.

    Frequently asked Questions.
Q: How do I "add" the expansion pak to the Emulator?
A: For Project64 you go onto options then unclick hide advanced options, then when you go back into options there will be a lot more options, go to the advanced tab and you can select the default rom memory to either 4mb or 8mb
For 1964 you have to do it individually, by selecting a rom on the menu screen(don't go into the game) go onto edit and Rom Properties. here besides a lot of other options, there is an option to fiddle around with the expansion pak.

Q: I can't get glide to work on the emulator:
A: Glide64 is a plug-in for and to make it work put the plug-in in the plug-ins folder, now if it still doesn't work(Can't locate it) Then you aren't using a voodoo card. For this problem you need to get a glide wrapper(newest 3x) and put the in the same folder as the emulator and NOT in the plug-ins folder.

Q: This Plug-in is giving me trouble on this computer but not another one, help!
A: The reason this probably is that one computer has a low end graphics card and another has a high and graphics card. Some plug-ins now have support for pixel shading and other effects, but some people might have graphics cards that don't support this. Direct64 is one that requires a good graphics card, as does Rice's 5.6.0 to get best results. will post minimum graphics card that supports pixel shading.
