George Thorogood and the Destroyers - One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer

Don't particularly care for this song... but it's a classic, I guess. I have been known to use the phrase "That don't confront me...." which often raises references to that song... and all the more encouragement I need to use a phrase like that
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
I like watchin the puddles gather rain
And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
and speak my point of view
    But its not sane..
I just want some one to say to me
Ill always be there when you wake
Ya know Id like to keep my cheeks dry today
So stay with me and Ill have it made
And I dont understand why I sleep all day
And I start to complain that theres no rain
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away but its a great escape..
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain...

    Finntroll - Skogens Hmnd

I've been listening a lot to Finntroll lately. This is one of the songs that are stuck on my head now.

Hmnd means vengeance I think. Or was it Skogens? Damn that Swe-Eng translator!

    Therion - Thor the Powerhead

Pretty good Manowar cover. In fact, it's the only good Manowar cover I've heard, because Arch Enemy's cover of "Kill with Power" sucked ass. Christopher Johnson can really sound like Manowar's vocalist, though he kind of clicked a bit during the ending scream. Guess not everyone can do that.

    Edit:

    Rhapsody - Erians Mystical Rhymes

Wow, the new album isn't half-bad. Then again, this is the only song I've heard so far(I skipped the boring narration ). Definately has that cheesy taste, but it's so damned epic that wankers like me will want to eat it up. Howie, by the gods in the valley of the dragons, I damn the day I ever lay disrespect upon the epic splendor that is Rhapsody.

Don't forget there's enough cheese on one Manowar album cover to feed a starving third world country. I've never heard their music though.

Lamb Of God - Black Label (Live)

From the Pure American Metal EP that came with the DVD. Soooo much better live, you don't have to endure the shoddy production job. They better come to Oz soon, the Wall Of Death looks like so much fun...

Skogens Hmnd means "The Forests Revenge" or something... Hmnd sounds a bit like Hevn (the norwegian word for revenge).

    Judas Priest - Rocka Rolla

Yep, listening through Priest's VERY strange debut, but I like it. Especially the title track.

Well i'm sure slim's told you all about it, not usually my type of music but it's not a bad song.
    Trogdor, Trogdor

    Trogdor was a man
    Uhh...Maybe he was a Dragon-Man
Uhh...Maybe he was just a Dragon
    Uhm...but he was still

It's awesome, but not as awesome as...

Pain Of Salvation - Lilium Cruentus (Deus Nova)

My god, this album is great! Hopefully it doesn't wear off exceptionally fast like The Perfect Element did. I obsessed about that for a while...

He doesn't look that bad without his hideous mask though.

    Exodus - Piranha

Ahh... Bonded by Blood is an EXCELLENT album.

Don't be fooled by Manowar's album covers. They may look like a plain old cheesy power metal band, but fact is they are an extremely good classic heavy metal band. Think of a much more aggressive version of Iron Maiden... something like Judas Priest would be more accurate. I'm surprised you haven't listened to them, they date back to 81 I think.

Behemoth - Sculpting the Throne ov Seth

My demigod, this band is the shit! A great mix of everything I like from death and black metal, molded into something that sounds interestingly different than many other death metal bands. Arsis still is on the top of my list for now. I've only listened to Demigod completely. Lets see what Zos Kia Cultus is made of...

Pain Of Salvation - Iter Impius

Can't get enough of this album, and I don't really know any of the songs that well yet. Yay for Sweden...

    Destruction - 263 Dead Popes

Blah, Neo-Destruction (Destruction without Schmier...) is so fucking boring. The only good song on 'The Least Successful Human Cannonball' is 263 Dead Popes. The cover-artwork is cool though.
