there is no minimum weight to be able to lift in the army. For females, they have to do 3 push-ups, 17 sit ups, and a mile run in under 10 mins i think before they can go to basic training.

And yeah the fireman's carry does distribute the weight around, but that was just an example carry, more than likely, if you are in a combat situation, and you have to move them out of the area, you will probably be stuck doing some more tactical carries that aren't as easy to pull off. Either way, adding another 175 pounds more or less to your weight already on you still tires you out
