Opeth - Demon Of The Fall

Finally got around to learning how to play this one. Most of it's easier than I thought. This was the encore when I saw them, how cool...

    Rodan - Bible Silver Corner

Indie outfit try out guitar baroque. Interesting. Excellent, even...

    Followed by:

Les Savy Fav - Our Coastal Hymn

I gotta salute you for getting the Inches collection, Solitude, I'm considering doing the same. Must say your currently listening list is looking the nicest to me right now, too. Very, very classy.

    Vintersorg - The Focusing Blur

Vintersorg is fucking awesome. None of his albums are bad. TFB is the second best IMO (Till Fjlls is a bit better)...

    Moonsorrow - Suden Uni

Listening through the re-release of Suden Uni again. Damn that album's great. (And if anyone's interested, check out the Moonsorrow-page on Metal Archives. I updated it with some real nice shit there.)

Darkseed - Fly Into the Night.

Pretty well done goth metal(listening to it through internet radio). Reccomended Don't expect anything like Nightwish though, it's not gothic power metal.

FS, I hope that by hardcore you aren't referring to stuff like Himsa or Hatebreed... or...

    Damn right.

Btw Slim, what year is that Agalloch album from? Chances are that Arsis got the name for their album from that song.

Howie... I can't seem to be able to open Metal-Archives.com... bandwidth exceeded or something... must've been those fuckers that kept changing band/logo pictures.

    The Mantle is from 2002.

And MA is down at the moment, it usually are at the end of a month. MA is getting really popular nowadays.

In Flames - Touch of Red

I haven't listened to Soundtrack to Your Escape in months. I'm trying to force myself through it. In reality it's not that bad. The thrashy riffs and solos are still there, I just think that the main problem is Anders. He really needs to get his act together and put on a pair of balls, because his voice sucked ever since the Clayman album(he wasn't all that great in Colony either). Why oh why did they ever take advice from Slipknot? Meh... another reason to hate that band.

    Edit:

Immortal - Withstand the Fall of Time

Damn right. This band is quickly growing on me, same goes for my interest in this style of black metal.

That Immortal-song was the song that made me like Black Metal in the first place.

Metal Church - Method to your Madness

First time ever I'm listening through a Metal Church-album (sad, but true). So for, so good. A lot of Priest-influences.

    Pantera - Cemetery Gates

I haven't listened to CFH in quite some time, which is odd because its one of my favourite albums of all time, and Cemetery Gates is one of the top metal ballads of all time.
    Trogdor, Trogdor

    Trogdor was a man
    Uhh...Maybe he was a Dragon-Man
Uhh...Maybe he was just a Dragon
    Uhm...but he was still

    Trogdor, Trogdor

    Burninating the countryside
    Burninating the peasants
    Buriniating all the people
    in their Thatched Roof Cottages

    Thatched Roof Cottages

And The Trogdor Comes in The Night.

Why the fuck do you combine nouns with hyphens so often?

Vintersorg - Urberget ldst av troner

This Vintersorg-song is from the Till Fjlls-album, good viking-metal. I've got to listen to more of this kind-of-music.

What really got me interested in Immortal was the song Solarfall, the melody was great.

    Edit:

    Rammstein - Amerika
Only song from the new album I've heard for now... I like it so far, the lyrics however will kill the bands reputation in the US. Maybe this is part of a plot to go underground again. The solo in the song was quite interesting, guess they aren't so Nu metal-ish afterall.

Finntroll - Uhhh, the second song from Jaktens Tid

Definitely interesting, and something that I will like, needs to grow on me however. For some reason this isn't what I was expecting out of Folk Metal...
