Well it would seem a good idea. I'm sure many people won't notice it's there, heck I never noticed FFX Eternal Calm in OPM 75 till it was off the shelves.

Yeah, why not? I could always buy the magazine myself, but since I'm such a cheap bastard, this would be preferable.

Since I currently do not have a modded PS2, I would have to use an emu (supposing that there are any that can actually run commercial games)

Then your SOL in that case. As their are no PS2 emulators that can play commercial games yet.

I'm wondering wether or not this guy is artificially effecting the auctions price by signing up under different accounts and bidding on his own item. The magazine will be on newsstands soon enough, so why would anyone in thier right minds bid that much for that?

Though why someone would do something like that is beyond me...

I would not be suprised if what was at E3 and what your getting are very close to the same thing(with a few more bugs taken out). It could be totaly diffrent though.

That's probably the case. I mean, it all comes together when you look at it...

Well, I doubt they were just spoof bids. The two highest bidders had 50 and 100 feedback. Chances are one of the fucktards just emailed him and and said "I'll give you $$$ if you end it and sell to me". That happens a LOT on eBay lately.

I spent this afternoon looking over my local shops to see if anybody had it yet, but it's not out here yet.

Although somebodies already torrented the demo. That makes me a little pissed off. I've been slaving over how many demos now, I announced I'd get to this 2 weeks ago. It's probably the only popular demo I'd get a chance to do, and somebody grabs it... I think I'll just drop the whole demo thing. I'm tired of forcing it on people if they don't appreciate what I'm doing... Here's the torrent for anybody that wanted it.

I'm sure a lot of people appreciate it, I'm sure no-one would hold it against you if you want to stop it

Ragnar, so you weren't the first to seed the MGS3 demo. Bid deal. I understand you promised this thing awhile back, but somone else beat you to the punch. And is that really a bad thing? Someone else is looking to share with the community, and that's a positive thing as I see it.

There's absolutely no reason to be put off by this, and to threaten to stop uploading demo's because of this is a little petty. I don't quite understand how someone beating you to the punch on this suddenly means what you do isn't appriciated. You've hooked up plenty of people with some great demo's, and what you do is very well appriciated by those who're interested in that sort of thing.

So please, reconsider this. Step back, take a deep breath, and consider that not being the first to seed the MGS3 demo isn't the end of the world.

Yeah, I was a little peeved off when I wrote that. Not really because I was beaten to the demo, mostly because somebody who likes demos+torrents enough to upload one hasn't even noticed me :\ But looking at filesize on that torrent I'm thinking it might be a rip (400MB for a current OPM DVD?). At which point I'm actually better off not knowing somebody who would create a fresh rip

Anyways, if anybody still wants any demos I'd be happy to hook them up. Although I haven't had any requests to fill in a week or so
