I think its more a case that they don't care than they support it for me.

My mum doesn't care really, hehe, but my dad, now he's the asshole, he's convinced I got the PC fucked up because of some britney spears song from kazaa. Just shows how well he knows me, if he thinks I'll ever own anything which even sounds like Britney or Spears

My Dad and I work on a "don't ask, don't tell" policy. He doesn't ask where I get him software from, and I don't tell him. He regularly burn copies of DVDs and CDs though, so I doubt he'd take that much of an issue with it (he probably knows anyway). I think we're both happier just pretending he doesn't know.

My parents don't care at all. Infact, we don't even have much of a choice. When I got my first computer, we could not afford anything but an OS. The software was and probably always will be very expensive. That's why it's best to go the linux way. Other than that, they're kewl.

My sister is TPB staff, and my parents are pretty much on the "it's fine as long as you don't get caught" side of everything. Win.

The time has long since passed when I'd have to seek my parents approval for anything I do. Even so, I can't imagine they'd care one way or the other. My mom was always pretty cool when it came to leaving me to my own devices, and I suppose she'd take the same stance on this, as long as I didn't get myself thrown in jail over it...

My mother very well knows about the amount of music, games, and software I've downloaded for free. She really doesn't mind, although she has gotten worried a few times about getting sued or something... I can't blame her. But I guess she's all for it, as I've downloaded about a dozen different albums for her.

I'm not entirely sure, but I'll assume they're for it.

well, my dad is dead. if he were alive i don't think he'd care. my mom is very old fashioned and is always bugging me to not download ANYTHING even gaming roms lol but i do what i want i mean it's my pc i paid for with my money and i pay for my own net connection so it all comes down to my choices.

lol same here. they're all worried that you'll get in trouble but they're just fine when you get something for them.

Well, If you download stuff instead of buying it, though, You don't get the cd art on it. you just get to look at a white "imation" disc with the names of the songs/movies written on with a nice, thick, sharpie. I don't personally care about it, but some of my friends do.
