Ten Masked Men - Livin' La Vida Loca
Holy crap, this band just made Ricky Martin look cool! These guys are great, they picked some random pop songs and played them as death metal. They also have a cover for Eiffel 65's "Blue(da ba dee)", Britney Spears' "Baby One More Time", and a few others(their only album is a bunch of covers, kind of like one of Blind Guardian's albums).

Slim, I'm pretty sure there's a way to bypass the region settings in a DVD-ROM drive, so don't give up hope yet.

    Edit:
    Vital Remains - Dechristianize

Holy crap, Howie wasn't kidding when he said this band was the shit. It has all the greatness from Deicide's early albums plus a new feel I've never heard in death metal before. Glen Benton is god.

    Edit2:
    Megadeth - Die Dead Enough

From the Mustaine's last album. The song's intro has that traditional Megadeth feel, but the rest is just plain rock, not really thrash metal. Not totally bad though. The song for some reason makes me feel very sad, and kind of sorry for Dave too. Speaking of Dave Mustaine, he showed up on Headbanger's Ball last week, on which he rightfully dissed Metallica(Jamey Jasta, the host, had the shit shocked out of him after hearing what Dave said about Metallica, he could barely announce what was the next video. Funny shit. ).

Are Testament and Slayer the only 2 thrash bands that still do thrash to this day?

Have you not heard the rest of the album Soeru? There's quite a bit of thrash. Exodus and Anthrax are still bound by their roots also. Also, I've looked up tons of stuff about my DVD-ROM drive, apparently there's a way I can change the region once, but I've got way too many region 4 DVD's for that.

Minus The Bear - Elctronic Interlude

Santy can't order in anything by this band or Hella, so I've downloaded a couple of albums to tide me over until I'm in Sydney again...

Arch Enemy - We Will Rise

This songs a little more melodic than a lot of their other stuff, but its still good.
    Trogdor, Trogdor

    Trogdor was a man
    Uhh...Maybe he was a Dragon-Man
Uhh...Maybe he was just a Dragon
    Uhm...but he was still

    Trogdor, Trogdor

    Burninating the countryside
    Burninating the peasants
    Buriniating all the people
    in their Thatched Roof Cottages

    Thatched Roof Cottages

And The Trogdor Comes in The Night.

Exodus still plays thrash. Their latest release is awesome.

Brides of Destruction - Shut the Fuck Up

Not bad, not bad. I thought this was going to suck.

    Best Bodom-song in my opinion.

Finntroll - Frsvinn du som Lyser (VoS-version)

Ultimate song when you're drunk. Tomhet og Tystnad Hrska (Jaktens Tid-acoustic) is also good shit when you're drunk

Melodies are a good thing, just as long as they're not excessively catchy. Or cheesy. Y'know, that's one of the few Arch Enemy songs I don't like. It sort of reminds me of Limp Bizkit for some reason. 0.o

    Atheist - Mineral

A very good band that (somehow) combines jazz with technical death metal. The instrumentals are very nice, but not exactly your Gothenburg cup of tea(this band dates back to the 80's). Best of all, the lyrics by these guys are something I can relate to. *cough*atheism*cough*

In Flames - Dialogue With The Stars

These guys are great at writing instrumentals. This, Man Made God, Acoustic Medley and The Jester's Dance kick arse. Have I missed any Soeru?...

You missed only one, "Dreamscape", also from the Lunar Strain album.

    In Flames - Dreamscape.

Limp Bizkit? you sure you were listening to the same song.

    Arch Enemy - Demonic Science.

Just a great song from one of their earlier albums. From when they still had their original, and far superior vocalist.

Yes, I am sure. It's just how the guitars sound during the main verse. Trust me, I know my Limp Bizkit.

    DJ Shadow - Organ Donor(remix)

    Best electronic track ever made.
