Agoraphobic Nosebleed - Spreading The Dis-ease

Really liking this band. If only I had listened to Soylent Green all that time ago. This is from the latest "Altered States Of America" album...

Its very fast paced, and really depressive...just what I like...

Static X is a horrible band in my opinion. If you want something fast, melodic, depressive but without the simplicity in Nu metal:

Vehemence - Kill For God
Sure, the lyrics are nearly incomprehensible, but this is a very good band.

Dark Tranquility is also a very good "fast and depressive" type of band, but it's much more melodic than your average death metal. Listen to their song "Monochromatic Stains" to see what I mean.

Fugazi - Target

Yeah. Needs no explanation, so fuck off.

And Slim, I still reckon there's something that seperates Slint from later post-rock bands. They're definitely post-rock... but they feel different. Formative. They share a lot more with the indie scene of the early nineties and late eighties that they emerged from, rather than, say, Sufjan Stevens. Not that post-rock has any sort of uniformity to it... I shouldn't need to justify coining the term prepostorock.

Sufjan Stevens - All Good Naysayers, Speak Up! Or Forever Hold Your Peace!

I mentioned it in my post, so I had the urge to listen to it. Still as classy as ever. Real Groovy needs to get Greetings From Michigan: The Great Lakes State in stock.

Vehemence - Christ, I Fucking Hate You!

Checked out God Was Created yet, Soeru? It is A LOT better than Helping The World To See in my opinion.

Aaaah, finally got this song. Short, fast, humppa, Wilska singing norwegian, "Heidra Valfar!"... aaaah!

Decapitated - Babylon's Pride

Holy crap, this band is good. I've had their stuff laying around in my music library for nearly a year and I never really listened to it much up until now. As much of an atheist I am, I will say that Decapitated is god.
The riffs and drumming are really cool, but also very precise if you know what I'm talking about. Sure as fuck they're showing up on next week's "band of the week". I hear Decapitated have a cover for a Deicide song, haven't checked it out yet...

Btw Howie, what other bonus tracks/covers do Finntroll have(not on regular albums)? If you have them, don't even bother telling me, I'll sneak up on you on DC and snatch them.

Meh, Static X isn't too bad IMO. Each to their own I guess though...I'm not looking for a fight...

Blink 182 - Untitled

No, thats not a problem with me not fixing the song title, thats the actual title. Get over it

None, except from "Ending" on the newest Windir-release. Adding it to my share soon so you can download it if you like.

In Flames - Behind Space (Lunar Strain)

Lunar Strain is a fucking awesome album, and Behind Space is one of the best In Flames-albums ever.

Refused - New Noise
Brilliant track from their classic album, 'The Shape Of Punk To Come'. First Refused song I ever heard and it's probably still my favourite. Love it when the vocals and the heavy guitar riff kick in at 1:07...

It should be possible to make it region-free. Let me know the brand/model number of your player and I'll find out for you...

Only DVD players in the house are the one in my PC (locked on region 4), and the XBOX.

Antemeridiem - Opaque

This is the band of someone at the Dream Theater boards. Cool Acoustic Flamenco Jazzy type stuff. Great guitarists...

Smile Empty Soul - With This Knife
What can I say? It's a catchy song, and their CD rules.
