NZ is filled with amateurs as far as advertising goes. "Bond & Bond, the one place where you won't beat a Bonds deal!" How did they decide that was a good idea? Really? They've been using it as their slogan for years.

I was watching my original 1985 video copy of Ghostbusters the other day, and it was full of poor Coca-Cola advert propaganda. The jingle went something along the lines of...

IT'S A HIT! IT'S A COKE! COKE IS IT!!!

So poor.

There's a place here in Tucson called The $199 Computer Store. Their adds end with an annoying jingle that goes "$199 Computer Store. A computer for everybody!". It's really something you'd have to hear for yourself to get the idea, but suffice to say the jingle is so annoying that if I hear it one more time, I might go into fits of blind-rage.

Thier latest commercial is pushing a cheap computer of relatively low-quality (great for surfing the web, or typing up reports!), that comes with a free computer desk and a printer. Then they show some dumb looking kid who turns to the screen and while holding up a paper. He says "I got an A cause I printed it!"....yeah. Anyway, thier whole advertising campaign is an excercise in annoyance....

Though I wouldn't but much stock in some idiots asinine advertisment campaign when trying to gauge the American education system.

Baddest advertisement ever was the first Zelda (on NES) commercial. It was like:
-"Hey dude, what you got there?"
-"It's the new game from Nintendo, Zelda"
Spend time looking at the old screen, part were your taking your sword and beating the crap out of the 1 hit kill monster
-"Totallly RAAAD!"
