Good, people are reading Douglas Adams and Joseph Heller.

Read over the past week or two:

Chuck Palahniuk - Fight Club
Chuck Pahlaniuk - Lullaby
Kurt Vonnegut - Slaughterhouse 5
Tom Sharpe - The Wilt Alternative

Kare Kano vol 1
Ranma 1/2 volumes 1, 2 and 3.
Oh My Goddes: The Fourth Goddess
No Need for Tenchi vol 1

Hitchhikers Guide fans should search out the teaser-trailer to the movie. I don't think it'll be able to capture the essence of the books, or Douglas Adams unique wit, but it looks sorta promising. It's worth a look, at any rate.

Nah, not at all! I'd love to have the chance to read that much, but unfortunately I have not the cash to buy books, or pay off the rather substantial debt I've incurred over the years at the library.

I generally take books out of the library.

I'm a very fast reader, I once timed my self and was going at about 400 words per minute.
Used to take out 8 books every 2 weeks, don't have quite as much time to read all of them but I try.

Eg. started the harry potter 5 book at bout 8pm on saterday was finidhed bout 5 the next morning. was a good book.

I started and finished Girl, Interrupted last night by Susanna Keysen. It wasn't the greatest novel; I can't see why they would have made a movie out of it. The paragraphs were all short and choppy, and I didn't think it was that great until near the end. It was rather confusing in the beginning.

Thumbs up

i started to read stephen king's "IT" but, i put the book somewhere and still cant find it to read the rest of it.

i can say the book is nothing like the movie because, there are some extra parts in the book that is not in the movie.

BTW i am a stephen king fan and everything he writes is amazing

i just finished reading The Pearl by John Steinbeck. i had to read it for school, but it was enjoyable and i think i liked it just as much as the other Steinbeck novel i've read, Of Mice And Men.

Ugh. I couldn't stand The Pearl either. Man...
Anyways. I read through the DOOM series last night. Seriously, the worst ending ever. It had so much potential after the third book, but they ruined it...
