    No doubt. The game was great. It was heads and tails above the N64 games.

    That I wont dispute.

    However, I felt the game could've been a bit more representative of just what Castlevania is, given that it was made by the guy who helmed the last few GBA releases.

    In all his bravado, Koji Igarashi shunned the N64 games. But when it came down to it, he didn't give us a truly excellent 3-D Castlevania game. Sure, superficially Lament feels like a Castlevania game. But considering that the guy's been pimping the series so much, and claiming it as his own, he pretty much dropped the ball with Lament of Innocence.

    I love the game, but as a long time fan of Castlevania, I can't help but feel let down by it. It was fun, but it pretty much could've been called Devil May Cry 3, and we wouldn't have known the difference....
