Children of Bodom never made a cover of The Trooper, but Sentenced did, so that's the song you mean, I guess.

    Finntroll - Vargtimmen

Been a while since I've listened to Finntroll. This is one of the greatest songs ever. Vargtimmen means "The Hour of the Wolf/Wolfhour" in case anyone wondered.

Children of Bodom - The Trooper

Howie if they didn't make it how I'm listening to it? Check 'Follow the Reaper'

EDIT: Weird I just check CoB's website and on the Follow The Reaper's tracks there ins't The Trooper. So maybe it isn't CoB but other band.

Dude, download Sentenced - The Trooper and listen to it. You'll hear that it's the exact same song. Follow The Reaper never had The Trooper on it.

edit: What did I say? I blame the fuckers from Kazaa.

Gah... I'm not touching individual song files again. I'm going straight for full albums now(I've been doing this for over a year, but occasinally trying single songs). Damn, well it sounds a lot like CoB... the drumming does sound different though.
wow... I would've never guessed the definition of Vargtimmen.

Finntroll - Rivfader(album version, not the demo)

I love Midnattens Widunder, as the rest of the albums.
*dances to the humpaa tune* The slow part about 2 minutes into the song rules!
Oh how I wish I was a troll and could understand this language.

Angeles del Infierno - Rompe con todo esto

A band called "Angels from Hell" and a song called "Break off/with all of this". Pretty cool, sounds a bit like AC/DC. Rock on.
They're quite old, I'm surprised I only heard of them a few months ago since I'm a Spaniard. The solo in this song is pretty standard, but very cool.

Next: Angeles del Infierno - Sexo en Exceso (Sex in Excess ). More AC/DC-style goodness.

Howie: Of the Folk metal bands you posted, any of them sing in english? I would really love to see some folk metal on english.

Children of Bodom - Hate Me!

Skyclad, Elvenking, Agalloch and Turisas is in english. Skyforger and Cruachan got some songs in english, some songs in another language. Lumsk is in norwegian/old norwegian (viking-stuff), Otyg is in swedish and Tuatha de Danann is in spanish/portugese (I think it's portugese).

edit: In Extremo is another great Folk Metal-band (according to a friend of mine). I just read through some of their lyrics, and it seems like most songs are in german and, uh, swedish. Why swedish? I got no idea.
edit2: Uh... there seems to be french stuff here too. Even norwegian folk-songs.

    Elkeliset - Humpparaakki

Hummpa-version of... Holy Diver, originally by Dio.
They made a cover of "Join Me" by HIM too. Fun stuff, this.

Guns N Roses - Welcome To The Jungle.

Great intro. Tonight is not about nice. Tonight's about "Werlcome to the jungle, we got fun and games". Nonsensical Simpsons quote...

They DO sound like Norther and Children of Bodom, just a lot heavier.

Skyclad - Oui Avant-Garde a Chance (full album)

Gonna listen through this album now, I don't think it's as good as Folkmon, but hey, we can always hope, right?

    Judas Priest - Hot Rockin'

My bro keeps telling me I'm stuck in the 80's. I never listen, I just pull on my torn blue jeans and leather jacket and rip up the highway on my Harley Fatboy.
I love this song... I just recently got the remaining Judas albums I was missing. The "don't let it in" was a bit disturbing though...

    Sonata Arctica - Don't say a Word

Sonata's newest single. It's pretty good, but I miss the constant guitar-solos from the "Silence"-era. This song for some reason reminds me of the "Ecliptica"-album...

I just found that I have 1337 hours of mp3's
