Spyware Remover:
Spybot Search & Destroy

Adware

Media Player:

Winamp

BS Player

And IMO eMule is the best p2p program.

Best media player: Windows Media Player is enough to play most video and audio files, and so is Winamp5.
Best spyware cleaner: Spybot Search and Destroy.
Sharing program: Direct Connect is the best network in my opinion. It doesn't have any of those pesky leechers.

.. Yeah, that's about it.

While it's all subjective on which program is the "best" depending on your preference, some programs I use are as follows:
BSPlayer - movie player that uses little system resources
WinAMP - music player that has plenty of features and plugins (can also play movies)
Ad-aware SE Pro - spyware cleaner
DC++ and an older build of Imesh - file sharing

Oh dang forgot the Sharing program...

IRC is the best, or Bittorent... for shareing your files. OR FTP...

But if your asking about stuff like your run of the mill P2P... IMESH...or Kazaa + the Diet Kazaa add on...

Everybody has laready taken all the good ones...
Media Player - Winamp Classic (winamp 5 for movies)
Spyware Cleaner - Spybot and Ad-Aware. Be sure to check out the sticky to help you out
p2p - BitTorrent, no question. You'll get the fastest speeds and everything starts a lot faster. Generally better than any other p2p application, IMO. All you need is to find a good tracker site(s), which unfortuantely can't be mentioned due to some of their content (warez).

For video players you should also try videolan client and certainly med ia player classic (not to be confused with that shitty microsoft media player).

Winamp really is your best bet for audio (and basic video needs).
Ad-Aware Is a very nice adware/spyware remover, though alot of people seem to also quite like spybot search and destroy.

Don't forget limewire for the p2p programs. IMO it's not as good as kazaalite but it's the second best.

I call him putter putters. But that's not his name. his name is goober. But you will call him kitty.

I can't reall find a proxy for you since I do't know where you are (then I can't ping every proxy from your location) (because you prolly want a fast proxy).

Media Player - Media Player Classic
Spy Sweeper - Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy
P2P or such - BitTorrent, eMule (alot of things in there)
