Blind Guardian - And then there was Silence...

One of the better songs on "A Night at the Opera". 14 minute epic song.

"Battlefield" is my favorite song from that album.

Manowar - The Gods Made Heavy Metal

...and they saw that it was good. They said to play it louder than hell - we promised that we would. When losers say it's over well, you know that it's a lie. The Gods made Heavy Metal... and it's never gonna die.
    It's just so true.

Had Creep been the first song I heard by them, I probably wouldn't like them.

The Black Dahlia Murder - Thy Horror Cosmic

Cool thrashy melo death from the US. I'm in the midst of a bidding war to win their s/t on eBay right now...

    Bonobo - Pick Up

This is the only person I would consider to be on the same level as DJ Shadow in terms of electronica music. His album "Dial M For Monkey easily ranks as one of my all time favorites. I've listened to it all most as much as Endtroducing and I still <3 it.

Dial M for Monkey? Lol, is that the spin-off cartoon from Dexter's Laboratory? Must check this album if it's similar to "Endtroducing" in any way.

Audioslave - Shadow of the Sun
I'm not fond of the vocalist, but he does have some talent. I listen to this band mainly to get another taste of Rage Against the Machine, but it's extremely good as a plain ol' rock band.

It's not like Endtroducing. It's just similar in the fact that it falls into the broad category of "Electronica" music. I still recommend the album, but don't expect something like Endtroducing.

Serj Tankian - Bird In Paradise(Gone)

Much like sugar crisps I cant get enough of this song.

    Therion - Uthark Runa

I love the variety in this band. They just do a lot of different shit, like classic medieval themed heavy metal with apocalyptic choir and some opera singing. They've even done some black/death metal in the past. "Lemuria/Sirius B" is such a good album, I shouldn't have been able to find and download it so easily. Get it.

Read the rules on the first page. Rather than just post the name of the song you're listening to, you're meant to say some stuff about it.

My Red Cell - In A Cage (On Prozac)

Insanely catchy punk from some English indie band. Dual hurt vocals, think Blood Brothers gone to an 80s hardcore scene. Classy lines that you can't help singing along to. I gotta knife and I know how to use it, gotta knife and I know that he's to blame...

    Buck 65 - Square 1

The first hip-hop/rap/spoken word/whatever artist I've ever really liked. Awesome stuff, think DJ Shadow meets rap (not the bullshit 'Gangsta' stuff thats popular these days).

    Review of his album, 'Square'.

Coincidentally enough, I listened to my copy of Buck 65's Talkin' Honky Blues for the first time in months today. It's better than I remember it being.

Labels Like Minds - Livering You

Youthquake's band! Utter class. Indie pop, sounds mathy, has synths and awesome aplenty.

    Muse - Bliss

I hear people raving about them all the time here, so I decided to give them a listen. So far so good.

    Norther - Frozen Sky

This is pretty depressing but overall it's good especially when it gets to the end

Manowar - Brothers Of Metal Pt.1

Fucking legendary. Another awesome song about the greatness of heavy metal by Manowar. The main verse is just so cool. Manowar 0wnz.

Norther is awesome too, I like 'em a bit more than CoB.
