NUJABES & Shing02 - Battlecry.
Japanese dude rapping in Elglish. Despite what you may think about how it may sound, it pretty dope.

Atreyu - You Eclipsed By Me

Really cool riff, sets the song apart from the one preceding it. This album is something great. The guy who does the hXc vox has gotten way better, but the melody guy needs to be less annoying...

Children of Bodom - Silent Night, Bodom Night

Decent song. I've never liked CoB's vocals too much, but they're alright compared to Anders Friden's(In Flames) current singing. The guitar riffs and solos will always own though.
I took quite a surprise last night when they aired the "Sixpounder" video on Fuse TV last night. I didn't think they'd ever get airtime in the US.

Boards of Canada - Sixtyniner

I only listen to these guys everyone once in awhile. Good music to chill out to.

System of a Down - American Dream Denial
I love this song. Dunno why; the politicalness of SOAD in their weird, creepy way is kinda entertaining.

I just spent the last hour listening to some Mozart classics and I it was nice, but I felt the need of some good ol' death metal:

Vehemence - Kill for God

I'm starting to like their new album a lot, maybe not as much as Arsis' "A Celebration of Guilt"... but maybe, just maybe...

Five Iron Frenzy - All That Is Good

These guys seem to have an unusually high number of songs that I like. Maybe it's the carefree attitude mixed with a justified argument, plus good music. Yes.

World of Warcraft... my friend convinced me... bt what started as a skeptic sense of wary enjoyment has turned into the biggest time-waster of all... well, uh, time. I'm getting better. But that's what all addicts say.

Helping the World to See was kinda dissapointing, as "God was Created" was the one of the best Death Metal-albums out there.

Pig Destroyer - Piss Angel

Well, I'll be damned! I bought the album (Prowler in the Yard) a few days ago, and this is actually excellent Grindcore, which is very rare nowadays. This band knows how to use "Microsoft Sam" the right way

Naglfar - Vittra

Cool song, nice and slow with acoustic guitars in the beginning but it's still black metal. Dark as it damn well should be. The melodies are cool, and kind of remind me of In Flames' early stuff. The song's a bit short though...
Howie, I haven't checked out "God Was Created" yet, it's laying on my current Azureus download list. I'm looking forward to it if you say it's better than the newest one.

What exactly is grindcore? Does it have anything to do with goregrind/DM or is it some kind of BM?

You haven't checked it out yet?! Shame on you! It's one of the greatest concept-albums out there!

Grindcore..? Eeeh... too hard to explain. It's more like Death Metal/Gore, yes.

Throne of Chaos - Smoke on the Water

Nice speed-cover of Deep Purple's classic.

Grindcore is like Death Metal Hardcore. So really fast DM with exceptionally short songs. Agoraphobic Nosebleed .

Machine Head - Old

Giving Burn My Eyes a listen. Good album...

I like Machine Head...

Machine Head - The Blood, The Sweat, The Tears
From their Burning Red CD, I believe. I can't remember the exact name, but it's something to do with Burning and Red. Thus... Burning Red. Anyways. Great song; the first Machine Head song that I ever heard. I saw them on MuchLoud one night at like... four in the morning.

I see... so Cannibal Corpse would be grindcore or still plain ol' DM? They play quite fast and have short songs too. Speaking of death metal...

Dark Tranquility - Zodijackyl Light

Being a big fan of In Flames, you can tell that I love this band deeply as well. It's like In Flames with a more melancholic tone to it. In fact, I love the entire Gothenburg sound. It's my favorite musical subgenre, if not genre as a whole.
It's quite a coincidence that Anders Friden(In Flames) and Mikael Stanne(DT) once sang in the opposite bands . I prefer Mikael's vocals since he hasn't lost his touch(and the first In Flames album which he sang kicked so much ass). Anders sounds more like a whiner with each new album. I hope Anders(and the whole band) gets his act together and starts singing how he used to(vocals in "Whoracle" were Anders' best IMO).

Btw... what the fuck does Zodijackyl mean? 0.o

More like Brutal Death Metal, I guess. :\

Ayreon - Into the Black Hole

Featuring Bruce Dickinson.

The cheese factor on Into The Electric Castle was too high for me. But I've been heavily considering purchasing the new one because of the vocallists. Is it more of the same sort of stuff?

And Drageuth, if you havent already, listen to Burn My Eyes, it'll be a while before you spin The Burning Red again.

Freak Kitchen - Snap

Cannot stress enough just how great the guitarist is. And how long the songs stay in your head...
