Dream Theater - 6:00
I'm learning to play this at the moment using Mike Portnoys Anthology Vol. 1, and I'm pulling it off ok...ish. Awesome, awesome song.

Cool song from 1991's 'Badmotorfinger'. Has great vocals, as we've since come to expect from Chris Cornell.
Metallica - Jump in the Fire.
It's hard to believe that this song is 21 years old... go Metallica! Or better said: go 80's metal! I love the riffs in this song.
Even older if you consider the time it was written as opposed to released.
Iron Maiden - Charlotte The Harlet
Just a great song, with awesome guitar work. Probably my favourite song from the Dianno era of Maiden. This or Killers. This song also had a sequel on the next album in the form of 22 Acacia Avenue...
Metallica - Seek and Destroy
One of their all time best songs. The opening riff is awesome.
Trogdor, Trogdor
Trogdor was a man
Uhh...Maybe he was a Dragon-Man
Uhh...Maybe he was just a Dragon
Uhm...but he was still
Trogdor, Trogdor
Burninating the countryside
Burninating the peasants
Buriniating all the people
in their Thatched Roof Cottages
Thatched Roof Cottages
And The Trogdor Comes in The Night.
Andrew WK - Party Hard
A complete no-brainer, and one of those songs that you simply can't listen to whilst sitting down. PARTY PARTY PARTY!
Aphex Twin is mostly ambient, if you want some cool electronic/techno music, check out DJ Doboy(and one of his plethora of "Trancequility Volumes"). He makes single-track albums lasting around an hour, but they're very good trance/techno music. I'm sure you've already heard of Gorilaz. Also check out Fisherspooner and DJ Shadow's album "Endtroducing"(so good you'll shit your pants).
I'm listening to:
Godgory - Religious Fantasy
It's supposed to be melodic death metal, but it has a lot and I mean a lot of doom influence. I mean, the songs are generally slow but still melo death, and the acoustics they use occasionally feel a lot like Metallica's black album. This song has some thrashy riffs too. Check out this bands album "Sea of Dreams", it truly pwns.
Blondie - Maria
Because Im a sad bastard, with a penchant for crappy pop records by ageing bands. Cheesily addictive. Again.
Touch my twat.
Mos Def - Hip Hop
One of the most underrated lyricists alive. He host HBO's Def Poetry Jam. That's because he is a poet and rapper. Listen to him.
