Fuel is notoriously expensive in the UK, with either the highest, or second highest, tax mark-up in the world. I believe its taxed to the tune of around 70%.

In my area the current petrol price is close to the 80 pence per litre mark.

Does anybody know what the conversion between gallons and litres is? It would be quite useful for a stupid American as myself. XD

    1 litre = .26417 US gallons, roughly.

Myself, we have roughly $1.75 to the gallon, translated to USD.

You Americans, you crack me up. You think you have it bad? We pay 0.80p per litre, which is about $1.50 at the current exchange rate, PER LITRE.

And if a litre is about .25 of a gallon, then that's about 4x $1.50, which works out at $6 per galleon.

I can't believe that some people go on TV programmes and say that about $2.00 per gallon is outrageous, you need to walk in our shoes, boys.

America seems to use fuel like it will never run out. Some of the fucking vihecles are so inefficient.

Damn you get it cheap lol.

Indeed, Europe is far worse than North America. Over here for the past 3-4 weeks it's been bouncing around between 92.9 and 81.5 cents Canadian per Litre. Kinda nice, a month ago it was jumping between 99.9 and 91.9.

    I'm gettin me a hummer!

not really. Actually, I'll rob a bank before I buy a hummer. You have to be Bill gates to be able to fuel it. If you wanna beat the shit out of the environment, then buy a hummer.
