I actually haven't heard many metal bands from Mexico so I'll stick with Mortus Poetry.
Mago de Oz are awesome, too bad they are not from Mexico.

    Even more than Metallica?

Uh... Fiesta Pagana is not about communism, it's about the Spanish Inquisition and how bad the Pagans got oppressed in Spain during the dark ages. And... sellouts? I've only met 2 people in Spain that know of the existence of Mago de Oz. They aren't famous, therefore they aren't mainstream... therefore they aren't sellouts.
They have a few ballad-ish songs which don't amuse me... then again, so does the awesome band Helloween. Just cause they tried a bit softer stuff it doesn't mean they're sellouts.
Just wondering, but do all bands that are not "True Norsk Black Metal" seem like sellouts to you?
As Hao said, Metallica are the biggest sellouts in metal history. Fuck what Cradle of Filth, Slipknot, or Dimmu Borgir did, Metallica are the true sellouts.

PS> Metallica still owns though, just not their last 2/3 albums.

well my favourite band from my country would be Dungeon, a power thrash band from sydney. Just think of maiden but heavier and faster with some of the best guitar solos ever.

From my country? Well, most American bands suck (IMO) but I'd have to say the following bands are my favorite US bands:

    Danzig
    The Misfits
    Murderdolls
Narcissus (I command you to order their new album from Century Media.)
The Avalanches (Are they American? I'm not sure)
    Iron Maiden
    Avenged Sevenfold
    Godhead
    Tool
Err....I'm sure there's a few more, but I can't think of em at the moment.

    New Zealand.

    The Clean
    Darcy Clay
    Deja Voodoo
    Split Enz
    Fat Freddy's Drop
Chris Knox's various stuff (The Enemy, which I have a couple of bootlegs of - they never made any albums, Toy Love, Tall Dwarfs, blah blah)
    The Gordons
Then there are all those poppy and ocassionally somewhat proggy anthems that I never stop hearing but more importantly never tire of, by bands including Dragon, The Exponents, Crowded House and the Mutton Birds.

Supertones, Tree63 (oh wait they're South African), FIF, Switchfoot, and possibly the Blue Devils.

edit: USA, and they're in order.

    Do It
    Pop The Trunk
    New Car Smell

World of Warcraft... my friend convinced me... bt what started as a skeptic sense of wary enjoyment has turned into the biggest time-waster of all... well, uh, time. I'm getting better. But that's what all addicts say.
