Castlevania been on +9 systems and SOTN intruduced new gameplay. For the series that is. But it was released in 97...

SOTN was actually my first guess. I thought the pic kinda looked like one of the teleport rooms, perhaps. I didn't think it really introduced 'innovative' new gameplay though, so I didn't post it. I'll be pissed if you're right
