Muse - Time Is Running Out
The first Muse song that I heard. I should really listen to the radio a little more; there's a lot of great rock bands out there. I picked up this CD and fucking love it.

The Cure - Fascination Street

I'm waiting with baited breath for the new album next week, so I'm listening to one of my favourite Cure songs to tide me over. Awesome bassline, as anyone who's heard the song will agree. Chimaira also did a great cover of this song a while ago. Not quite as good as the original, but then what is?

Drageuth, you should also pick up 'Orgin of Symmetry' if you can find it. It's easily on a par with 'Absolution', perhaps a tad more experimental though. It's one of my favourite albums, and I've just realised I forgot it in that thread... *edits*

Gnarly d00dicle. I'll pick it up when I go shopping again.

Shakespeare In Hell - Toil and Trouble
Based off the beginning of Macbeth, with the three witches. "Double, double, toil and trouble..."

Fu</>cking ace song, I know Johnny is waiting for the new album too. As long as it's better than Wild Mood Swings, I'll be happy My brother is getting it next week, while I'm off to buy some Cure vinyl...

The Cure - Charlotte Sometimes

Still my favorite Cure song ever, I think it's a huge shame it wasn't included on the Greatest Hits. Come to think of, neither was any of the music from the Faith/Pornograph era. Still, love the song, nice and moody, and I like the schoolgirl in the music video

I haven't heard much of The Cure, guess I'll check em out.
I'm listening to Iron Maiden - Wasted Years. Fucking tight classic, as expected.

Damn right you should!! Check out the early stuff for their "gothiest" sound, the mid-80's period for their best pop songs, and only the 90's stuff if you're curious

Better than In Flames' acoustic piece from the '93 promo?

Stone Sour - Rules of Evidence
It's off the Heart of Roadrunner CD that my friend bought. Actually, some of you may remember him: Mac/Darth Frogger. He's got a lot of really awesome CDs. Heart of Roadrunner has some very rare tracks on it, including some stuff that was never released before.

Blind Guardian - Another Holy War
Incredibly fast, yet incredibly melodic and easy to listen to. I just love the vocalist.
Ack, the song just changed to "Bright Eyes", oh well. This song also rocks.

Nightwish - Nemo

Superb melodic metal. Anybody who is idiotic enough to mention 'talented', 'original' and 'Evanescence' in the same sentence needs to listen to this band. Also grab some Lacuna Coil while you're at it. I'm right, you're wrong. You know it makes sense...

Damn straight, Nightwish kick ass. Evanescence just stole their idea and sold themselves out to become commercially successful.
Melodic Gothic Power Metal... quite an interesting mix, I say.
Speaking of melodic metal, I'm listening to Hammerfall - "The Dragon Lies Bleeding". Awesome song, the band really gives you a medieval warrior-like feeling(think Manowar, but even more melodic). \m/ Check the song out.

Evanescence are grotty little turds who should just die. Nu-goth my ass.

Blondie - Call Me

80's stylee coolness. This song makes me feel that Richard Gere really is the coolest man alive. As soon as this song ends though, that thought will soon die.

Chicks On Speed - Wordy Rappinghood

Evanescence is terribly overrated, they remind me of Linkin Park.

Distillers - Hungry Eyes
The only Distillers song that I actually enjoy so far. Mostly they're too mainstream-punk for me, but this song is very powerful; I find that it speaks a lot to me. A girl told me about it when I was in Ledger (a mental institute for adolescents)
