Shakespeare In Hell - Song of Ariel
Wonderful, wonderful stuff. The featuring lyrics are done by the lead singer's sister, Brooke.

Iron Maiden - Paschendale

Epic track from the Dance Of Death album, and the best song they've had since Seventh Son. Great use of the three guiarists...

Soundgarden - Limo Wreck

My latest CD purchases arrived yesterday, and 'Superunknown' was among them. This is one of my favourite tracks. It's such a brilliant album, wish I'd got it sooner.

REM - Shiny Happy People

Cheesiest REM song I know. Despite putting them on the mainstream map, they didn't include it on their recently released best of, which is odd...

The Cure - Jumping Someone Else's Train

On a Cure frenzy, they have a new album coming out soon. This song (not unlike most of their songs) has an awesome bassline...

Faith No More - Jizzlobber

Among the CDs I recieved yesterday was a copy of 'Angel Dust'. This is perhaps the most disturbing track on the album, and arguably FNM's heaviest track ever. Mike Patton's pain-drenched screams on this track more than match almost any vocalist you care to mention, and then some. Listen to this album and you'll realise just how influential it's been over this last decade. A masterpiece of a record if ever there was one.

Also listen to 'RV' from this album, the song's melody is basically the underwater theme from Super Mario Brothers. Pure unadulterated ownage...

The Pixies - Where Is My Mind

Fantastically haunting track from the Pixies, as heard on the closing credits of 'Fight Club'. I love this song and so do you.

Local H - Bound for the Floor

IIRC, they consist of only 2 people. Takes talent to do all that between themselves, I guess.
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
I like watchin the puddles gather rain
And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
and speak my point of view
But its not sane..
I just want some one to say to me
Ill always be there when you wake
Ya know Id like to keep my cheeks dry today
So stay with me and Ill have it made
And I dont understand why I sleep all day
And I start to complain that theres no rain
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away but its a great escape..
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain...

The Cure - Fire in Cairo

F-I-R-E-I-N-C-A-I-R-O. Early Cure with kind of empty sounding tunes that they do best.
