Just today, I got an E-mail from [email protected] saying s/he had sent me an E-mail through the link in my profile. Here's what sneaky had to say.
hey,
u seem quite knowlegable when it comes 2 psx emulation. i was wondering if u
knew if there is any working ps2 emulators, if there isnt, when do u think one
will be released. thankyou.
There are four reasons I consider this could be a spam attempt.
1. Every time anyone has ever contacted me, it's been through PM's, never E-mail.
2. Where does s/he come up with ME being knowledgeable about PSX emulation? I barely know jack about it, which makes me think s/he's trying to get me to reply via E-mail to answer his/her question. Also, s/he could've just asked this on the Emulation board or searched for topics on it.
3. S/he hasn't posted at all, and his/her total online time was just over 8 minutes. I find it oddly suspicious that s/he could find out how "knowledgeable" I am about PSX emulation in such short time.
4. S/he can't spell good at all. I know this is kind of invalid, but if you've gotten spam mail before, you'd know that spammers spell like this person then.
I just find this really weird that I got such a request from a person. Has anyone else receieved E-mail notifications that seemed shady like this?
