    Default Bathory's "Quorthon" is no more.

    "BATHORY Mastermind QUORTHON Dead At 39.

    BATHORY mastermind Thomas "Quorthon" Forsberg was found dead in his apartment in Stockholm, Sweden on Monday, June 7, informed sources have told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. The 39-year-old son of Black Mark Records owner Brje Forsberg, widely considered to be one of black metal's founding fathers, died of an apparent heart failure. More information as it becomes available.

    Check my sig...

    First Somnium, then Valfar and now Quorthon...

    The world is unfair. Me and some friends are going to have a Bathory-marathon tommorow, I'm looking forward to that.

    It's really fucking sad..... It's soulsplitting to think that no more Bathory albums will see the daylight anymore.......
    And with Valfar is a different story. It almost made me cry when I heard Windir is splitting up, I've never been much of an emotional person but this is really sad.......

    Veles, what kind of rare shiznit are you looking for? I have a few demos of bands I found at Eselmetal.
    Btw, it doesn't mean the band is dead... look at Finntroll, they're still kicking ass as much as they used to.

    Finntroll... I only really liked them til' "Jaktens Tid", but yes they're still alive and kicking. And Bathory was a One-Man Project of Quorthon. Some session members were just recruited for the live thing, Kothaar, Bass (from 1989, til 1991) and Vvornth, Drums (from 1989 til 1991).. And for the first album "Bathory" in 1984, Jonas kerlund did the drums I think.
    Now about the rare stuff;
    I'd really love some underground Black-Metal, demos, bootlegs or limited releases. Especially looking for stuff from Wolf's Hunger, DRUDKH, Munruthel, Skorbut, Gorium (or Korium?), Forest, Lux Occulta, Gontyna Kry, blizkrig, Midgard (One-Man project of Lord Zealous), Apraxia and Butterfly Temple (The name sounds really gay you might think, but the band is really damn good, and the name just came from an ancient legend which tells that once a Soul of an Ancient Wizard was trapped into a butterfly which still lives)... Well that's the stuff I' really want badly, but other stuff is welcome too.

    Out of all those I only have one Midgard album/demo. I guess I can send you the ed2k link for it, do you use eMule? If not I could send you the album through BT or something.

    "Within the Darkness" That's from the Midgard of US as I remember. I was looking for "Dawn of Martyrdom" from Midgard as One-Man project of Lord Zealous. Even though, it would be quite good to get the "Within The Darkness." So I'd be grateful if you put it on BitTorrent or anything. USBM is rarely ever that great, but I still know bands that are damn good, and I really like them.
