I play xbox live and it is the best ever. I play my PS2 sometimes too but all i ever play on the is DDR Max 2 which is better than ultra mix on the xbox. Other than that the xbox wins hands down.

Xbox is cool, but I own a PS2 and GC. The only thing that bothers me about the Xbox is the fact that it gets alot of good/most likely will be good exclusive games, ex. Halo/2, Ninja Gaiden, Fable, KOTOR, ect. Other then that, I have no gripes.

I am sorry to say but the only reason I would want the XBox is to get it modded. There arne't very many XBox gamse that you can't also get for PS2. Those games are mostly exact ports and run at full speed for me. I also like PS2s new lineup. I am an RPG fan. I am also a very big Gran Turismo and Ace Combat fan. Those are PS2 only exclusives. I also showed my friends some screenshots of these new PS2 games coming out this year and they said to me that that is why I should get an XBox game. They didn't beleive me when I said those were PS2 games. I am talking about Ace Combat 5 and Gran Turismo 4. The monster rancher series is also pretty good. I also have heard a lot about KillZone and the new Transformers game.

Here is a little technical information that compares PS2 with XBox and has been proven.

Contrary to Popular belief, PS2 has more potential for good graphics than X Box does. It is much harder to use what is available for PS2 to make good graphics because of the sucky ram (4 GB). PS2's engine is better than the X Box engine, so when they used the multi layering in combination with the great engine, the graphics are better than anything the xbox can make.

Ps2 is the most powerful console out of the 3. Even the best looking games on the ps2 havent shown the true potential of the system. An example of this is Gran Turismo 3. Sonys research team came up with a performance analyzer that stated it didnt even use 25% of the systems power. Now compare that racer to Project Gotham Racing and you see GT3 looks better. And if you have ever played Ico you will see that the ps2 is capable of complex water and particle effects as well as lighting. Both systems have built-in effects that cant be duplicated by each other in hardware but only through software. That is why you wont see Half-life 2 and Doom 3 on the ps2 because the developer would have to code it differently then the xbox and pc versions, not because of the graphics.

GT4 and GTA: SA look to be the only games worth getting on PS2, wheras Xbox has loads of games currently in development which'll blow the PS2 away.

There are a TON of great games that I am looking forward to getting on the PS2. I am looking forwards to getting KillZone, Gran Turismo 4, Ace Combat 5, Metal Gear Solid 3, and a few others. There aren't any that I am looking forwards to on XBox. The reason ppl say the PS2 isn't powerful enough for some games is because the devs don't know how to program for it. It is just as easy for the XBox. They are just more experienced on the XBox's hardware because it is like that of a PC.

Not really on-topic, but one thing I noticed between the PS2 and GC is the GC seems to load a bit faster. I've especially noticed this with Madden 2004. When you do a fantasy draft, it takes forever on the PS2, but only a few minutes on the GC.

The reason they say it is the hardest to develop for is because it is something new. If they knew it as well as the x86 architecture it wouldn't be as hard.
