Default Need assistance with PJ64, ePSXe, and a few others.

Hi there. I'm having troubles with a few things.. here they are.. whatever you can help me with will be greatly appreciated.

PJ64: I have it for two different systems. On my main system works fine, but when I put it on my laptop it seems to be having a bit of trouble. See I try to play Conker's Bad Fur Day on it and well Conker comes up.. white.. Not Red, but a white squirrel. Kinda creepy. Also, instead of getting 40+FPS it usually goes between 20-35FPS which of course makes it lag. And makes horrible game play. (that is with all the games I tried, Not just Conker.)

ePSXe: I have all the plugins meant for it and when I put in a gaming disc to play (I have my own PSX games) the games play all Fast Forward like. Like when you push FF on a VCR and makes it speed through.. that's how it is for mine.

The other things I need help on is searching for a Sega CD emulator. A GOOD one. I already have one, but it won't play my games on it.

Well, like I said, any good advice on all of this would be great. Thanks.

The problem is the laptop graphics card not supporting the relevant combine modes. There isn't too much you can do about it, though you could try Rices latest plugin to see if that helps at all.

Glide64 I don't think supports Conkers fully on the latest released version, when a new version is released though it may be what you need (with Evoodoo).

For the EPSXE prob, try going into the graphics plugin settings and enabling the speed limit (50 for Pal and 60 for NTSC - European and American respectively).

For Sega CD, try Gens (which is the best), if you have probs with specific games let us all know. Kega Lazerus is good too.

Thanks.. Your idea for ePSXe didn't work. It still runs through it at a Fast speed.. sucks.

go to the graphics plugin and mess with the FPS things... I use Pete's plugins and for those I just hit the lil thing that says "run at the original speed" or w/e.

makes it run at the speed the game is meant to run at.

frame skipping will make it run faster yet kinda choppy (only do if must)

You need to check the box that says Use FPS limit in the graphics plugin in ePSXe.

Thanks.. I got it to slow down.. Needed to be at about 40-50FPS.. Not that I can understand a single word in my games, but that's okay lol. I'm sure this has been asked a ton of times, but just recently finding out that you need to have the same game file on the same disc with ePSXe in order for it to run.. How does one turn a game into an ISO or what not?

And for PJ64.. I have a high-performance computer and have trouble running Doom 64. Not really trouble.. it's just the picture comes out all weird and then I have another game that's got a low FPS which lags it majorly. It's sooooooo annoying.

Guessing you have a Radeon trying to play Doom with Jabos? You should perhaps try Rices Video 5.50b2 I'll test it now in fact.

Name me the other game you have probs with btw.

    Edit/

Just played Doom64 with Rices plugin, works fine other than it being very dark (the original N64 version had similar issues).

Yea, mine's really dark too.. I wish their was a way to change the brightness of the game.. It's really hard to play. The other game I have trouble with is Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon.

Mystical Ninja starring Geoman works great with Rices Video which I recommended earlier. Get it from emutalk.net (scroll down to plugins archive, or look at the sticky in the 1964 forum).

Okay will do.. just why is Doom so dark though? I was actually able to try it out on a school computer.. It was brighter, although the FPS really stunk.. So just doesn't make sense.

Well it was dark on the N64 (loads of mags complained about it).

I'll see if I can find a better plugin or something.
