It's very interesting when you think about it, the slaves who left here to go to America, because of their steadfast and their religion and their belief in freedom, helped change America.
    - George W. Bush, Dakar, Senegal, July 8, 2003

I described them [Iraq] as the axis of evil once. I described them as an enemy until proven otherwise. They obviously, you know, desire weapons of mass destruction. I presume that he still views us as an enemy.
    - George W. Bush, showing that he believes all countries are guilty until proven innocent, Ridgewood Country Club, Waco, Texas, Mar. 10, 2003

There's Adam Clymer, major league asshole, from the New York Times.
    - President Bush to Dick Cheney (overheard at a press conference)

Can this guy get any dumber??
President Bush left for Canada today to attend a trade summit. Reportedly, the trade summit got off to an awkward start when the president pulled out his baseball cards.

We had a chance to visit with Teresa Nelson who's a parent, and a mom or a dad.
    - George W. Bush, Jacksonville, Florida, Sept. 9, 2003

Anyway, I think We've made our point...

Ill share some Slick Willy (Clinton) quotes with you guys:

"When we got organized as a country and we wrote a fairly radical Constitution with a radical Bill of Rights, giving a radical amount of individual freedom to Americans ... And so a lot of people say there's too much personal freedom. When personal freedom's being abused, you have to move to limit it. That's what we did in the announcement I made last weekend on the public housing projects, about how we're going to have weapon sweeps and more things like that to try to make people safer in their communities."
    --President Bill Clinton, 3/22/94,
    MTV's "Enough is Enough"

"We can't be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans ..."
    "--Bill Clinton
    (USA TODAY, 11 March 1993, page 2A)

"The last time I checked, the Constitution said 'of the people, by the people and for the people'. That's what the Declaration of Independence says."
    -Clinton
(That quote is in the Gettysburg Address)

"The purpose of government is to rein in the rights of the people."
    - Clinton

"You know the one thing that's wrong with this country? Everyone gets a chance to have their fair say."
    - Clinton

    Ahhh I love Clinton!

How about we get back into a discussion, instead of posting quotes.

What do you guys think about the Second Amendment? "The Freedom to Bear Arms"
And dont talk about the freedom to arm bears!

Lol, yes, i think that arming bears is important. We should go into the woods gather some bears, give them weapons and make em fight for us.

    Okay back on topic.

I should never have mentioned arming bears, but I thought that if I mentioned it noone else would feel the need to.

I personally think gun control is stupid. I think gun locks are an incredibly stupid invention. If someone walks into your house to rob it, you probably arent going to have the time to unlock it.

I think people need to stick to the constitution, and not violate it, or try to amend it like our current one, and last one have.

The second amendment was put into place so the government would not get out of hand. Having the public armed restricts what the government is allowed to do significantly.

Besides more kids are killed in car crashes every year than in violence with guns. Should we outlaw cars? of course not, and nothing is written in the constitution about cars either.

The only way you arn't gonig to have time to unlock it is if the robber has a gun aswell, And if they made guns illegal, the rober would be alot less likely to have a gun. Also most robers brake into the house quitly enough that unless you have a dog or some form of security, you are still going to be asleep with him having plenty of time to kill you, gun lock or not.

The second amendment was put into play in completly different times, times when people actually needed guns.

now adays any bloke can get a gun, says it's his right as an american citizen, than go to rob a store the next day.

That is perfectly on topic, remember what I said? The best way to argue against bush is to quote bush.

Either that or he simply accidently mixes his words up- alot of people do. Anyways.. not every person is perfect.
