Hmm... Is this a novelty of sorts?

Doesn't the resolution affect the game? Is it squished? Scaled? Something else?

How do they do it. The SNES actually has a faster processor and stuff. It also uses a higher resolution and uses 2 more buttons. How is it possible?

It's not at all faster. I believe the GBA is about 4-5 times faster than the SNES. But the SNES has a seperate cpu for sound and that's the problem here.. And the button problem has been solved as well so don't worry about that.

New screenshot; Demon's Crest. Works great with only minor gfx errors. Oh and I tried Super R-Type yesterday. Believe me when I say that it runs perfect. Full-speed ahead.

This is pretty cool as well. I got Lufia II up and running. I'm very excited about this.

Demon's Crest works alright, but it's still very slow.
And Super R-Type, while running quite nicely, isn't running perfect by any means. It's very good though.
So far this emulator is really impressing me.

Oh I thought R-Type was running perfect. Guess I was wrong. And yeah it's impressive indeed! Can't wait till the next version.

Yeah, I'm sure given the quality of his previous projects, this will only get more and more impressive with each new release. I'm amazed that the thing's running this well right outta the gate.

Exactly. It's very suprising. One day, maybe he will even be able to squeeze in sound support. Doubt that, but maybe.
Oh and I wonder what FluBBa can do with the source code once that is released. He made some heavy changes with PocketNES afterall.

I really doubt they'll get sound support in, unless they can figure out a way to get it running without sacrificing speed. But y'never know. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

Yup. I saw someone suggestion that maybe if you use two GBA's use can boot the 2nd GBA and use that for audio. And in theory, that should work.
But yeah, we'll have to wait and see.

It may work, but it'd be incredibly stupid. It's just too impractical to be worth trying. I guess if they can get the emu working alright, and they wanna mess around, then it may be cool to see something using two GBA's, but for now it just seems silly to even bother. I'd rather go without sound then either having it effect the speed, or having to use two GBA's to get it working, quite honestly.

Agreed. Portable is portable. People want a portable SNES emulator. NOthing else.

Exactly. And I bet people would be willing to sacrifice sound if it came down to getting a better overall emulator out of it.

Of course. Speed and compatibility is prority. As soon as you can play Super Metroid, I will be happy.
