@megami: i prefer comedy/parody in my fanfics. lemon and shoujo-ai is ok with me too. being a straight male sort of limits the appeal of shounen-ai to me.

@all: i just read vol 1 of the chobits manga + all 6 volumes released so far in english of "kare kano" (a great romantic comedy manga, source of the anime "His and Her Circumstances" i've also finished the first the english volumes of "azumanga daioh," another great comic manga.

Heh, oddly enough, that's all manga that my local Software Etc has recieved recently. I've just got into "Azumanga Daioh", after having watched the first episode of the Anime, and the manga is suprisingly alot more odd then even the anime. Good stuff indeed.

Meh. I'm a girl, so I don't go towards the Shojo-ai/yuri. I prefer to see two guys dating. Hence Subaru and Seishirou are my favorite couple and Yami no Matsuei is one of my favorite anime/manga.

Anyway. I just finished reading a list of 'You Know You Love Fuuma Too Much When' stuff. The sad thing is that I do some of those things. ^_~

Freak The Mighty was interesting. Very good plot, although I found the style to leave something to be desired. It's not your typical "good versus evil" novel that a lot of people read, it's more of a "finding yourself" kind of novel, which is refreshing when taken in small doses with lots of beer.

    What I've read recently:

You don't want to know, trust me. You DON'T want to know. *looks around nervously* The Sakura is going to feed on my blood like a friggin' vampire.

*whacks herself over the head* Bad, hentai. BAD. *continues whacking herself*

Finished Eddings' Belgariad and Mallorean at last. What a story I want more instead of moving to new characters in the Elenium and Tamuli.

I just finished reading Animal Farm by the satirist George Orwell. It's about the Russian Revolution leading up to WWI, but with animals. Y'know, it's satire. The book's 50 years old now-- wrote in 1953. It really was a great book though.
