    Default best/favorite movies

so what are ur favorite films? here's mine. btw, sorry if this has been done before, but can't find it.

Gamera - Defender of the Universe (unknown director)
great monster movie from the mid-1990s

    Hero (Zhang Yimou)
    superb martial arts/chinese sword-fighting movie

    Tokyo Story (Yasujiro Ozu)
too slow-paced for many here, but i like the director and this film is one of his best

    Good Morning (Yasujiro Ozu)
a comedy about two boys who stop speaking because their parent won't buy a tv

    Throne of Blood (Akira Kurosawa)
the best macbeth movie ever made. also high on the samurai list

    Red Beard (Akira Kurosawa)
    yet another wonderful japanese film.

i have many more, will only post if people are interested.

    LOTR Trilogy - Pretty fun!
The Godfather Trilogy - Who doesn't like this...?

    Star Wars Trilogy..
    James Bond Dodecology..

And an old war movie with an all star cast.

It's called "A bridge too far"

EDIT: Changed trilogy to dodecology for the sake of the pedantic users on here heheh .

    I don't think their's a -logy for 20 or 21 (whatever they're on) movies.

    Anyone know?

@gaven: trilogy means 3, bond has like 13 movies, around. Also star wars is a sectilogy (6)

I think that would be something like a vicelogy... the Latin prefix for 20 is vige or vice.

And my favorite movies are non-existant. I love too many and it changes too much.

*grins* I said that in my above post. I knew trilogy was 3 but at the time I posted that I just wanted to say trilogy for the heck of it.. Didn't know people would start getting pedantic over my weirdness *LOL*

As for 6 .. I didn't know it was a sectilogy.. And the bond SERIES (ok ok I give in already) has more than 13 movies .. It has 20 or 21.

If I had my way I'd call that:

    Bloodylongology.

Star Wars only has 5, at the moment... and it's much longer than that, Lucas just hasn't been able to produce everything. He has something like 9 movies capable in the story he has so far.
